The location was pretty much the best thing about Hotel Saint Quentin. It is a couple minutes walk from the Paris North train station near a lot of restaurants. The lone staff that we encountered at the reception desk was the most negative highlight of our one night stay at the hotel. We found him lounging around in the front area and he wasn't professional at all, which I guess would even generally be quite a lot to demand from a two star hotel. But, once we told him that we were interested in going to the airport in the morning, he kept pestering us about using a bus shuttle that he could supposedly reserve for us. It would have been good had he taken no for an answer, but he told us lies about how the trains don't run on weekends and how we would have to change 2 buses in order to get to cdg. I figure some travelers do get duped by such lies, but to me it was borderline annoying. Other than that, the room was pretty basic, especially for the price. The management should at least refurnish the rooms and ensure that the windows are able to be locked at night.

In a great location near Gare du Nord station. Lovely staff. Room is fine for young couples who want to explore Paris and have somewhere to sleep at night. Bed was comfy and cozy with own bathroom at was cleaned every day. Would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for good value for money and base in Paris for a city weekend. Walls were thin and could hear a couple arguing in the morning around 8pm. There was only one hair dryer in the whole hotel so was difficult sharing it around hotel guests. Maybe an investment in a few extra hairdryers would be a good idea.

Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. The location is convenient to the Gare du Nord station if arriving by Eurostar and relatively central in general. We had a room which had a seriously sloping floor and the tv did not function properly (only three channels available, all in German!).

Very poor staff ( smoking at the reception desk) on arrival hugely over priced for a poor quality hotel. Very poorly designed bathroom, impossible to use the sink in fact! I would never stay here again.

The hotel was close to Gare du Nord, where Eurostar train stop! The room wasn't pleasant and a bit dirty, probably because of the price(very cheap, but not reason to be). We've been for the same price in much better hotel. At least we had bed and hot water!

The location for train travellers arriving and departing from Gare du Nord is excellent. This hotel enables you to leave your luggage in a private room after checking out until your night train departs. The location in general is in a very bad and shabby neighbourhood. Poverty, pick-pocketing, many beggers on the streets, etc etc. The hotel was promoted as "recently renovated and highly modernized"; the opposite is true. The floors of most rooms are not even straight - so that you will literally roll from one side of the bed to the other while asleep. The rooms are too small and have NO comfort at all. Just one chair for three people in a three-bed room. Both the double bed and the single bed were very narrow. Not really suitable to accomodate three adults. Bathroom no comfort at all either. No place to put bags, which means you have to put them in the small walking space left beyond the three beds. Noisy and very hot if you have a room at the front of the hotel. Bedding was extremely minimal, and the blankets, that looked pretty filthy, were lying on the floor in a small closet. Elevator was very shabby too - would not be surprised if it would stop during operation with people inside. We did not use breakfast because it was too expensive. Television: no remote control and very few channels, not even a news channel available in any particular European language. Internet: internet in the lobby is not for free at all, contrary to what is written in the ad. Wifi in the hotel itself: very unstable connection. I would recommend travellers to spend a little more money on a different hotel to enjoy a better visit of Paris. Better spend more money per night but stay one night less in Paris to enjoy the city better.

We really liked location, its not far from railway and metro station :) and also special offer of price through Booking.com. The photos of rooms on their website were a little bit different than they really were :)), it was small room but tidy, so doesnt matter. It was a little noisy (whispering through walls from another rooms).

The twin beds were comfortable and the on suite bathroom clean and adequate with a daily change of bed linen and towels. Shampoo and soap was provided. The breakfast was simple but sufficient and of average price. The hotel was in need of a complete renovation. The rooms were small and needed re-decorating and some of the fittings e.g. door handles were loose and the sink leaked. The TV ceased to work on the second day. The location was in a very noisy street with drunken young people making noise into the early hours.

It is in a convenient location for travelling within or outside Paris, just a few metres away from Gare du Nord station. This is also a good area for vegetarian restaurants in Paris. I thought the facilities were generally very basic. Several lights were not in working condition and these were not sorted out despite repeated requests. There was no coffee making facility within the room or anywhere else inside the hotel. I think it does not compare well with other similar hotels in the same area.

The location, advertisements of activities to do in the lobby. The lack of air conditioning, rude front desk staff, lack of internet in rooms, lack of electrical outlets in rooms, small size of the bathroom, and the non-functioning windows in 95 degree heat.

“Best location, if there are many or large luggages so you bring it from CDG Airport to the hotel by RER B only one time. (difficult to transfer to other area by Metro) There are many restauarnts & supermarket around this area and in the Gare du Nord station. So the hotel have an Internet wifi & sat.tv in the room.” Thanaphon, Pathumthani |
