Hôtel Windsor  

The location: convenient for the sea, restaurants, shops and the train station.

The room is damp and smelly, the bathroom is too small. The swimming pool is tiny and not very clean.Overall, the hotel is overrated, from my point of view.I Stayed in Les Cigales, just across the road, a couple of years ago. The rooms are smaller, but very clean and not smelly, and it is much cheaper.

Almost everything! My little girl and I stayed for 1 night only but were very impressed with the hotel.... we had dinner in the leafy courtyard and the staff were excellent. The waiter, Salim went out of his way to give us tips and advice. The room we stayed in was the 'Intimity Room" - it was very clean and the art very interesting. Air con was very good too. We overlooked the road but the room was quiet due to double-glazed windows. I would definitely stay here again!

Having a 5 year old in the pool, I would have liked to be able to sit on a deck chair within the pool area - not outside the fence. This is the only thing that was not perfect about the hotel.

I liked the location and the garden/pool area.

I did not like the staff. They were not helpful. The hotel is not handicap accessible in any way, except for the fact that they have one elevator. They claimed to have sent me an email explaining this to me, though I never received it.

It was in a great location as we arrived at Nice Ville train station and it was only a 5-10 minute walk from there. Also only a 5 minute walk to the sea. The room was really nice - bright and bigger than expected with great decor. The hotel staff were fantastice-carried our (heavy!) suitcases to our room, gave us a map and directions to the main sights and let us print boarding passs using the hotel computer.

Terrific location, artsy design, lovely garden. Note that each room is different.Hotel accommodated our request for a room change from the Baabar room(stuffed animals everywhere-even on the walls! Not my thing) to a more sophisticated contemporary room. Free wifi. Note: breakfast is 12 euros/pp. We plan to fly in and out of Nice in the future (instead of Rome), and would definitely stay here again.

Expect insects(mosquitos) in the garden at night.

Professional and accommodating staff. They were friendly, and very helpful offering suggestions for sightseeing,dining and shopping in and around Nice. They secured our baggage after we checked out, so we could enjoy our last day. The Windsor Hotel was like staying with "old friends," very comfortable.

Excellent location, close to Promenade. Lovely courtyard garden for breakfast. Food good.

Bar rather gloomy and lacked atmosphere. Bedrooms (Intimity) a bit shabby, need updating

I loved your elevator and the terrace garden. I thought the hotel was very imaginative and as an artist myself, I thought it was lots of fun. I appreciated the friendly staff and the sunny bright clean rooms. The modern bathrooms were a plus too. All in all, we had a very comfortable stay in your hotel and will definitely be back. I was very impressed with the staff who were very friendly and helpful. It was also nice to have the garden to retreat to when the weather got very hot, which could also be helped by the lovely swimming pool. Little bit cold but warm for us Irish. Our dinner was very nice as well and the waiter was excellent. We were only staying there a night on our way to Corsica but would happily have stayed there longer. Good location as well, 15-20min walk to the old town depending on how many shops you popped into. Thanks again, we'll definitely be back.

I liked the decor and enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent although at times was noisy especially during the early hours of the morning

Bathroom very small

I love the "quirky charm" - the bar, the elevator and the morning breakfast. We also loved the outdoor garden area, although the birds kept us up at night! It would be so much nicer if you had coffee in the rooms, a coffee pot with mugs. It would also be great if there were extra pillows in the rooms. The bathroom was very small, not what we are used to and the towels were a little on the thin side. But all in all we loved the hotel, especially the location and the price and we thought it was a great value...just would have like some coffee!!

We liked the convenience of being able to walk anywhere in the city from the hotel. It is perfectly situated. The hotel staff was excellent - they recommended restaurants to us that were great (Barracuda and Poco Loco) and they informed us about a guided tour to Monaco and even booked it for us. The staff was excellent and with us being American and not knowing any French, we were still treated very well and all of our needs were met with kindness. We very much appreciated that. We also loved the elevator and the pictures on the wall up the stairwell. Our room was not decorated - and I had read about the rooms and how many were wonderful so I was a bit disappointed in our room, but not much - like I said above, I would have loved to have been able to make coffee in the room.
