The hotel is 5 minutes away from the city centre and the beach. It is very well located. The staff were nice and the hotel was very clean. The hotel is decorated in "futuristic" rooms with white-style rooms - I liked the rooms. I stayed for two weeks and had two different rooms.

Good location near the beach and not too far from restaurants. The rooms are unique and interesting - very artsy. Ours had a balcony, which was very nice. There is a beautiful garden area off the lobby - the photos don't do it justice. The air conditioning was either not yet turned on or it was not very functional - I was hot at night - and the street below was too noisy to allow for the window to be left open. The room was small, but there was adequate storage.

The staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. Our room was minimalist but comfortable, and we could hear birdsong from our window. The location was excellent too. Easy to walk anywhere, but also near to the excellent velo bleu bike hire ports, the tram, bus and train. Nice bar restaurant too. The breakfast was not included in the price and was an extra €13. However there is a wonderful bakery at the end of the street where you can buy a delicious cheaper breakfast. The pool was not open until June, which was a shame as we would have used it (we were there in May)

It has a lovely shaded garden which would be great in summer. Very convenient for centre and beach. Staff very friendly and efficient. Quirky decor and the lift! We had a room with a bath and shower attached but you could not use it as a proper shower as there was no hook for the shower head above the bath

It was in a great location, the staff were friendly and the garden room we had was very comfortable and quiet at night. We loved the fact that the rooms had been individually decorated by local artists and the hotel itself was a gallery for modern art works. It was quirky and fun, we loved it!! The carpet in the room was stained which gave a bad first impression when we walked into the room but did not affect our enjoyment of the hotel.

We loved Nice. The courtyard bar is really pretty. bathtub not available, although the website said it was possible. Some rooms garishly decorated.

The decor of the rooms was really fun. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bathroom. It was a very short walk to a lot of the dining/sightseeing as well as the train station.

The hotel is located just three blocks back from the Promenade des Anglais - so you have the convenience of the seafront location without the constant noise of what is essentially a [very beautiful] six lane highway. Visitors are greeted in a quirky, but comfortable foyer/reception area, and then 'transported' to their rooms in a tiny, but hilarious elevator - resembling the interior of a rocket - announcing '3-2-1, we have lift-off' (great fun for young kids, but you may have to choose between 'transporting' your kid(s), partner or your luggage as it is so small). Each room is individually designed - ranging from the 'clinical' (plain white with bright yellow line going across the walls, ceiling, and floor) to the warmly Romantic mediterranean look. Some rooms have typically Nicoise balconies overlooking a beautiful garden with swimming pool. Nice buffet breakfast served each morning, and there is also a small, reasonably priced restaurant and bar for those who may wish to dine in. Some of the rooms, although quirky, may not be to everyone's taste, eg. The clinically white 'cube' with the bright (road-marking shade of) yellow angular stripe across the walls, floor and ceiling - complete with white furniture, bed, and bed linen. We were initially assigned this 'artistic' monstrosity, which was not the room which we actually booked. However, we were offered a choice of three others, so that was fine. Also, the bathroom facilities were quite out-dated - no extractor fan meant the room became very steamy and slippery; and the grouting/sealing around the bathroom furnishings was old, discolored, and not well maintained at all. Also, there was no bidet (in separate wc), wall-mounted shower (just the old telephone style thing attached to the bath taps), and no hand rail, slip mat etc beside bath. Complimentary toiletries were of the budget hotel variety and in short supply.

The location is excellent for a city break in Nice. Lobby and breakfast room were great. The room was a bit of a disappointment. Very basic with an old fixed carpet and poor quality bed.

I love the "quirky charm" - the bar, the elevator and the morning breakfast. We also loved the outdoor garden area, although the birds kept us up at night! It would be so much nicer if you had coffee in the rooms, a coffee pot with mugs. It would also be great if there were extra pillows in the rooms. The bathroom was very small, not what we are used to and the towels were a little on the thin side. But all in all we loved the hotel, especially the location and the price and we thought it was a great value...just would have like some coffee!! We liked the convenience of being able to walk anywhere in the city from the hotel. It is perfectly situated. The hotel staff was excellent - they recommended restaurants to us that were great (Barracuda and Poco Loco) and they informed us about a guided tour to Monaco and even booked it for us. The staff was excellent and with us being American and not knowing any French, we were still treated very well and all of our needs were met with kindness. We very much appreciated that. We also loved the elevator and the pictures on the wall up the stairwell. Our room was not decorated - and I had read about the rooms and how many were wonderful so I was a bit disappointed in our room, but not much - like I said above, I would have loved to have been able to make coffee in the room.

Terrific location, artsy design, lovely garden. Note that each room is different.Hotel accommodated our request for a room change from the Baabar room(stuffed animals everywhere-even on the walls! Not my thing) to a more sophisticated contemporary room. Free wifi. Note: breakfast is 12 euros/pp. We plan to fly in and out of Nice in the future (instead of Rome), and would definitely stay here again. Expect insects(mosquitos) in the garden at night.

The hotel is built and designed with great taste. It is obvious that the owners and administration are professionals and at the same time can think outside of the box. I loved the food, the friendliness of the personnel, the location, the way the room was designed, and the GARDEN! The only thing I can think of mentioning was that the WiFi internet wouldn't always connect. Everything else was perfect.
