Hotel Voltaire Opera is located in central Nantes, 50 metres from the Théâtre Graslin and a 10-minute walk from Machines de l'île. The hotel was originally built in 1855 and offers a library.
Score from 395 reviews Excellent
Well placed for walking around. Excellent walk in shower.
Room was so small we had to take turns to walk round the bed. Washbasin poorly designed for practical use. Noise Saturday night, lasting till 5am, from rowdy drunk people
Everything was good
Decor stlyle and room confort
Utilitarian objects missing in the bathroom, that hotels of this category should have as shower cap, cotton swabs, etc.
Good location, clean, efficient staff
That nobody informed us that there is no parking.
Although room was quite small it was very comfortable and in an excellent location. We managed to park our motorbike out the front which was an added bonus.
Comfortable contemporary Hotel in convenient city centre location. Excellent soundproofing which reduced disturbance from late night revellers.
Eco-friendly Central location, easily accessible by public transport and from the airport Staff were very welcoming Nicely furnished, modern room, space saving layout
Expensive for what you got. No restaurant. Room was small for the price. Not much choice for breakfast considering the price
We like the bedding and the cleanliness
The price is a little bit too high
Good room, nice staff, parking very close. Location is very central.
Driving to the hotel is very difficult, because the city center is a complex of one-way streets (gps had no idea).
Ideally located; parking right next door in Parking Graslin. Staff extremely helpful. Everything at hand to explore Nantes.
Stayed Thurs/Fri nights and became extremely noisy with cafes and music outside despite excellent sound-proof french doors.
If you are American youight be disappointed with the size of the room and bed. The tub in the bathroom is extremely large and great for long soaking. Highly suggest if you a tall person to book else where. Other than that great hotel with English speaking staff,
Small room and bed
Staff very friendly and focused on needs of customers
This was our second stay at this Hotel. As before the staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel is well situated near the centre of the city with access to car parking facitities and restaurants.
This time the charge for the room was more expensive than in August last year, and I thought the charge for the breakfast was a little too much.
Bit noisy from outside, breakfast not exceptional rooms a bit dark
Near the centre of town
Very basic facilities
friendly staff, happy to speak english. Clean.
Location, location, location. Clean, simple, modern renovated bathroom. Don't take the breakfast and visit one of the amazing local bakeries.
Very clean, modern, very nice location in the center of the city, excellent choice if you want to be close to pubs, restaurants, shops. It is noisy at the weekend if you want to sleep with the window open, as it is on one of the streets with pubs and restaurants. I didn't mind that as I sleep with earplugs anyway. Very good quality for price/quality/location. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Very close also to one of the bicloo stations. Supermarket is just a few minutes walk.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent.
The room was suffocatingly hot at night, as there was no air-conditioning. If you open the window there is a lot of noise from the street, so it's a lose-lose situation. They should have air-conditioning or fans.
Value for money, good for city visitors as central,
Difficult to find particularly as road works blocked the direct route. Very difficult to find your way back to main route south again due to road works, were forced to go North. Small rooms. Not good to find food on a Sunday night.
The staff were very friendly and helpful especially in finding the car park, which was near and not expensive. The central location, but very quiet. We hope to stay there again in November.
A great city-centre hotel, only minutes from many restaurants and kerb-side cafes. Very helpful reception staff. Would definitely stay there again.
We have been there at least ten times; As usual , location , staff , quality/price .
Currently the city has major road work in the area. Access is temporarily complicated . Call the reception for guidance
