Todo fantástico, personal muy amable, muy buena localizacion con vistas al castillo y al rio.

Lástima de la ausencia de aire acondicionado, hacia un poco de calor por la mañana.

Su ubicación en el centro de Saumur. El patio interior adoquinado y florido con vistas al castillo. Sus vistas sobre el Loire desde muchas habitaciones. El sabor añejo del edificio.

Edificio rehabilitado hace treinta años que necesita renovación. Algunas instalaciones están simplemente viejas. Cama de matrimonio pequeña, y poca luz tanto en la habitación como en el baño. Poco espacio para guardar ropa y enseres. En general , mala relación calidad precio.

La habitacion que me dieron no coincide con la de la foto de la oferta pagada llamada habitación tradicional, si no una habitación ramplona, asimilable a la de un hotel español de dos estrellas, con la única ventaja de la vista al castillo,

Todo en general, la ubicación, el hotel, la habitación, la atención, y la relación calidad precio, excelente, pero si tengo que destacar algo diré que las vistas al castillo y al jardín desde la habitación son impresionantes.

Solo una sugerencia, mejorar la velocidad de la wifi

Charming period building, nicely decorated and furnished. Central. Peaceful internal courtyard. On the Loire.

Premium bedroom was large and elegant with comanding view of the Loire but had no coffee table - if you sat in the two armchairs you had to put your drinks on the floor! Good hanging space but no drawers! Bathroom was excellent except that there was nowhere to put damp towels!

The situation was perfect for culture, relaxation and was central for the surrounding countryside

Four stars at a very good price for a small city in France, Breakfast more than usual (crescent role, juice and coffee) we had yogurt, choice of cereals, ham, cheese, huge basket of breads, fresh and toasted, a dozen jams and jellies, etc. New elevator! Newly decorated rooms, peace and quiet, even the street out front on the river.

We liked the quiet athmosphere - friendly staff and high quality of services. Private car park.

Great location. We paid for an upgrade and got an excellent and spacy room. Good breakfast. fantastic view of the castle from the room's window.

Our room was at the rear of the hotel so was very quiet and had a stunning view of the chateau, the rooms at the front had views of the Loire. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the staff were more than happy to bring boiling water, and the minibar fridge kept the milk fresh.

Most of the staff spoke good English and were very helpful.

Friendly helpful staff, nothing too much trouble, even if you arrive late. The hotel is set on the banks of the Loire, nestling beneath the castle, close enough to the centre of Saumur without being too close. Delightful period feel and lovely restaurant adjacent. Free wifi.

Take one of the big old rooms on the lower floors, you feel like an earl in a chateau, it is situated just below the castle, a very nice old fashioned, nicely furnished stylish “salon”, nice old breakfast room with decoration of the past times, wood panels and a nice ceiling. I did not test the restaurant of the hous, But it looks tempting.

well the old windows do not keep the street noise off too well, but central locations are mostly not the quietest places.

The location is excellent. The hotel is a historical building with nice classical design and is well maintained. The restaurant there is also good.

The morning shift staff has quite cold attitude.

- very good location, on Loire river and opposite is the view on the castle - good personnel, the lady explained us everything we had to know about the place and surrounding places. - room was pretty spacey - town itself is very nice and there are many things to see.

- the bed covers were with torn in some places - the window was full of mosquitoes stuck to the window glue (looked disgusting) - overall room looked worn out and the yellowish color of the walls wasn't impressive.

Friendly reception, unspoiled old building tastefully updated. Comfortable rooms, splendid breakfast and good secure parking (in the garden!)

Adjoining "gourmet" restaurant, although a separate business, was significantly overpriced with extremely slow (and initially discourteous) service. Disappointing. However, there are other options for eating in Saumur within short alking distance.

No facilities for making tea/coffee in room. no curtains/blinds in the bathroom,reliant on opaque glass for privacy.

Furnishings look rather tired, floorboards creaked, no ventilation in bathroom.

Convenient location right on the river, large free parking lot directly across the street. The second floor room was spacious and clean. Easy 10 minute walk to Saumur center.

the parking issue, they are saying that you need to book a place for parking, and pay 12 euro per day .. the truth is that you have more then you need parking just outside the hotel... I parked the car just across the hotel .. without paying anything.

Great location, easy walk to centre of Saumur. Beautiful old hotel, well maintained. Stayed in room 212 which had a fabulous view over the courtyard to the chateau. Courtyard a wonderful place to enjoy some cheese and wine after a day of sight seeing. Saturday market is fabulous if you are there of a weekend. Hotel staff speak good English and are very helpful.

Grand building at the right side of the river, close enough to the city center for dining and shopping. WIth a high-end restaurant and a cute bar inside.

Receptionist is not friendly enough (could be her English language problem) but one expects more finesse from an establishment such as this.

The hotel overlooks the Loire River but a major, busy and noisy road is between theRiver and Hotel. It is advertised as remodeled . Our room had filthy, worn out carpet and old fabrics. It reeked of old smoke but was supposed to be non smoking. The commin areas could have been charmingbut they were very rundown. We were to be there 3 nights but left after one. Booking.com was great to help us find a new hotel.
