Arcadie Montparnasse  

I was completely satisfied. Clean bed and bath room; friendly and helpful receptionists; good area with easy public transport connections.

The size of room is as small as usual in Paris.

Location is perfect. Easily get connected to the city via metro. Even you can walk to Saint Germain. Visitor have oppotunity to reach supermarkets and restaurant easily. Gare Montparnasse is very close so you can travel outside of Paris easily. Hotel staff was very smily people and they speak in English. I dont recommend to have breakfast at the hotel for 8 euros. You can have much more better breakfast for 11 -13 euros outside at the cafes. I hıghly recommend this hotel if you are insterested in visiting Paris all day and coming back to hotel only for sleeping.

The location was very good, close to metro station Gaite. Hotel was very clean.

Very good location, easy access from cdg, little cousy hotel, very friendly stuff, room was small, but very clean, very comfortable bathroom, noise from street was bit disturbingin morning, but after I started to shut window around 7 am it was ok. Internet worked perfectly all week. We didnt eat breakfast at hotel, but there are plenty of places where to eat around and food markets also. Metro station just in front of hotel. And first couple of days we accually walked everywhere so no too far from main tourist objects.

The two ladies who took turns manning the reception spoke a litle bit of English and were very helpful in giving directions on how to get to the tourist attractions. The room was small but cozy and, most of all, the bathroom, which had a tub and a wide vanity, was spotlessly clean. The hotel is a short walk to Gare Montparnasse, which allowed us to take the Metro to go to the Eiffel Tower and for when we had to take the SNCF train to go to Lourdes.

The breakfast, if I remember right, was for 8 Euros. We didn't avail of breakfast so I don't know what breakfast consisted of. This was an inconvenience for us because we didn't want to spend 16 Euros for my husband and myself for breakfast, so my husband had to go out every morning to buy breakfast and take it back to our hotel room. The breakfasts he bought were satisfying and delicious and cost only about 9 Euros. The elevator, as mentioned in the other reviews, is very small and can fit only 1 person with one piece of luggage.

The convenience of the Hotel and accessability to City attractions

Its location is very comfortable, espesially for tourists who are not going to stay all the time in Paris (though it is worth seeing!))5 min to Montparnasse railway station gives you a chance to look at real calm and charmig France and come back to noise and beauty of its unforgetable capital.From the hotel you can walk to the Sena 30-40 min along nice streets.

It was very convenient to get to the hotel from Gare Montparnasse. We returned from San Malo. The Metro station Gaite is just near the hotel. The staff spoke English, were helpful and friendly/ Thank you.

There was no plastic curtain or the screen in the bathroom and it was impossible to have dry floor after taking the shower, particulaly for my grand daughter. I dislike it very much.

The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.Our booking was not on record but was rectified quickly.The location near train stations is a big plus and restraunts nearby are to die for.The breakfast of cereal,juices,fruit,yoghurt and a basket full of various breads was more than adequate.Second time for one of us and hope wont be the last.

The rooms while clean and well serviced are typical of Paris.Very small.

This was my second stay within the month of June and I would definitely choose to stay there again. Cleanliness, friendly staff and location would be my primary reasons.

Friendly, clean, very close to Air France bus transportation to and from Airport Charles DeGaulle and within good walking distance of cyber cafe and quite a few stores and restaurants. Good-sized private bathroom.

There is nothing I did not like. Infact I have now returned there after a couple days in the countryside.

At reception was told Arcadie was full and they sent us back to Montparnasse station to a partner hotel (Miramar) which was basically a room with just a bed and a rickety wardrobe and lots of US college students. Obviously difficult for us to rate Arcadie fairly since we didn't end up staying there, but never would have agreed to pay e100 for Miramar, would have rather paid more and stayed at a hotel chain.

Rooms a little bit small but were out most days so didnt matter.

Location right at metro station and just opposite railway station.

Hotel has recieption maintenance works at that time, so dust and noise everywhere. Probably due to this fact breakfast was served directly in the room (quite romantik, but limited in choice). Also, elevator was working starting from 1st level only. All passages (corridors) and staircases are very tide (non comform)
