The morning staff was quite helpful. He arranged for a new room for us when we arrived too early for check in. The room was small but comfy. I was pickpocket-ed when I step out from the Metro station in front of the hotel. Its not the Hotel's fault, but pls be aware whenever you travels in Paris. |

The Hipotel is a good budget hotel. It's far from most of the attractions of Paris, but right outside a Metro and close to a couple supermarkets, shops, and decent cafes. Being right at the Metro makes getting around Paris a snap. The staff was friendly and English-speaking. The room was small but comfortable and reasonably clean with fresh bedsheets. We had a window that was warped and could not fully close, which contributed to a fair amount of street noise. Didn't really bother us, a couple of very weary travelers needing sleep. The staircase and hallways in the hotel are also very confined, so it's not for the claustrophobic or obese. |

the metro station was literally right outside the door. and its near the cimetiere pere lachaise. yeah it smelt funny like stale cigarette smoke and old building and dust. and the bathrooms need updating. the shower was one of those detachable shower heads but there wasnt anything to hook it up to so u kind of had to awkwardly hold it while trying to wash yourself or your hair. if i were to go back again, i would just spend more money and get a better hotel, that was closer to the centre of the city. |

The staff seemed friendly enough, the underground was next door to the hotel, which meant it was easy to get around. The room was clean and was cleaned daily, the bed was comfy. If you book this hotel I wouldn't expect to be blown away but the chances are you are on a budget and I would recommend it. We were out for most of our 5 days so the size of the room didn't bother us. Some parts of the decor were tired, the bath is small and the shower is not held up. |

We lovethe Hotel Belgrand, 3rd year in a row we've stayed here. For value for money outside the city centre you cannot get better value. The staff are all so friendly & helpful, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Paris It is in need of a facelift, it's looking in need of some repair |

Great hotel for a budget-stay. Metrostation is right outside the hotel. Staff attentive and nice. The first night I got a room on the first floor which was not the nicest one, but for the next night they let me change room without problems. Small supermarket just across the street. Good value for money, I booked late and got a discount rate, about 50 Euro for a doubleroom. Nothing, the only drawback for people visiting Paris for a short time or for the first time might be that the hotel is located in the 20th arr, and you have to take the metro for about 10 mins. to reach the real central quartiers of Paris. Although very easy to take the metro as it is right outside the hotel, and the parisian metro is very good and easy-to-use (unless you are handicapped). |

staff very friendly, cleanliness all right, very close to tube station very noise, all the streets around the hotel are very busy and there is no double glazed window to help keep the noise out, and also the lift was doing really annoying noise at our room. |

Good location with all the necessary local shops within minutes walk, Metro station entrance right outside the front door, perfect for getting into the city centre. English speaking staff friendly and helpful and even helped out with a bit of French lessons. Hotel was clean and well located, couldn't ask for more for the price we paid. Perfect for those like us who just want somewhere to sleep and keep our bags while we use the money we saved to enjoy the city itself. Outside noise was fine but inside walls were a bit thin and could hear a lot of noise from other guests at night, although they were maybe just very loud guests. Few problems with the water pressure in the shower. That's all. |

Staff is friendly, smiling all the time. However, you better learn some French since their English is basic. Your room is cleaned daily, and you get enough fresh towels but they smell of cheap detergent. Subway is at the door step, but is a good 20 min. Ride to downtown Paris. Breakfast starts at 7 am, but for 5 Euro you get only - "all you can eat": coffee, milk, tea, orange juice (from concentrate), butter, jam, croisant, buns. There are a few grocery stores near-by. Also, a couple of bars and restaurants are within walking distance. This is not a 3 * Hotel!!!. It is very old, and needs major restauration. Painting was pealing off in the bathroom and hall-way.Old furniture, lights not working, old blankets, sink cracked, hair drier defective. Fridge was antique and not working. Tv is small, and you get about 5 channels all in French. Last but not least, windows (french type) are not closing properly, so you can hear all the noise from the street, but not only - the walls are really thin and you can cleary hear your neighbour voice, flushing toilets, and showers. So bring your own ear plugs, or buy enough French wine to knok you down (this worked for me). In the end: if you are tight with money, on the budget, you may give it a try. Otherwise, look for something better. |
