The staff was truly kind and helpful. The rooms were tiny, i could barely move around my bed, there was no fridge and barely any hangers. No vending machines. They were renovating so there was a lot of noise and commotion. I was sick one day, had to stay in bed and could hear everything in spite of my earplugs, i thought i was going to have to kill somebody.

Close to Metro. Our room was exceptionally small,we battled to open the suitcases. The rooms were also very dark, only side lamps and no central light. Our friends had a larger room ( we paid the same price ) but they didnt have a cupboard. The hotel was also doing renovations so the lift was not working during the day and there were workmen around which spoilt the ambiance of a comfortable holiday. Break fast was also minimal.

We have stayed before and knew it's location suited us. Last time about 5 years ago we stayed on the 4 th floor. This time we were on the 1st floor and did find it very noisy in the early morning which we did not notice last time. We are likely to return sometime as we are interested to see it when all works are finished however would request a room on a higher level.

We like the Brittany Hotel and have stayed there before on a few occasions. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are excellent, clean and exactly what you need. One smal item that could be addressed is that here are not tea/coffe making facilities in the rooms.

We actually stayed there in two 3-day stays during our trip, with a trip to another city in between. The room we stayed in the first time was quite decent, though small (as is typical in Paris). It was clean and comfortable, with a view overlooking the street. It had been recently renovated, with modern finishes in the bathroom and was clean. The second 3-day stay several days later was not as good. The room overlooked an alley, which was not too bad as we spent little time in the room. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. The toilet seat was dirty, and the bathroom had a lot of body hair, obviously not having been cleaned properly. In addition, the shower had black mold on the grout, and the shower door didnt seal properly resulting in bathroom flooding when taking a shower. The lighting in the bathroom and bedroom was very bad. It was very dim and rather cave-like. On a positive note, Nathalie was wonderful and was happy to help with recommandations and information. The neighborhood is so-so, a bit rough. Not dangerous, but rather not lively and a bit dirty. Expect to take the subway to find decent restaurants.

Although the hotel is located a little away from the heart of the city or key landmarks, I liked that as it was a break from the chaos. It was a reasonable walk or pretty easy subway to get to main activities, however there were grocery, shops and restaurants that cater to the locals all aroun us which was excellent as the quality was better and a more authentic ( less touristy) experience. I liked the character of the hotel ( although in a major renovation - but will be nice). The rooms were small but manageable, the washrooms were clean and newly updated. The breakfast was just fine and nice to be included. The new dining area will be nicer. Most of the staff were helpful and reasonably friendly, particularly for Paris where I found people rude, arrogant and aloof. I didn't like that wifi was not included. The street was a bit noisy so had to sleep with windows closed and air on. I don't thunk you can get away without in Paris as the cars are noisy and lots of them. The rooms were quite small.

The staff were very helpful. The room was very clean and air conditioned. It had a lovely bathroom with a good size bath to ease away aches and pains from walking all day around Paris. The lift was far too small - a bit like a coffin - so we didn't use it. No tea or coffee in the room which would have been really useful.

1) Good location in the Opera neighborhood - not too far from the Opera, as well as other tourist places. Several minute walk to metro 2) Clean room and shower, cleaned daily 3) Staff is fine - always available - no problems whatsoever 1) Really small room - not a problem if you just sleep in the hotel - but in case you need to spend more time in the room it's really tiny - even by Paris standards
