Score from 462 reviews Good
Perfect location as we were seeing a show at the Bercy arena just a few minutes walk away, also just at the metro station so great for public transport. Check in staff helpful and friendly, simple breakfast included, standard room smallish but quite comfortable and quiet as we were at the back of the hotel. Enjoyed dinner in the hotel restaurant. Definitely a good value option.
Only complaint, we did not find a supermarket nearby and reception charged 3 euros for a 600ml bottle of water late at night - ridiculously expensive.
Great location, the bercy arena and the metro station very close. The stuff was amazing. Breakfast full and good.
The shower is to small, at the breakfast they should add some other bread as well. I did not like the top, there are pieces of wood. Make it feel a little bit odd,as he receptions is quite fancy. The closet is very small. And the prices is definitely too high.
The Personal was friendly.
The breakfast was a total Chaos. You had to wait and ask for everything over an hour. Roomate were also not super clean.
The location was great - especially for me, going to the indoor tennis event. The park was also a great place to go to on Sunday afternoon. Lots to do there. I had seen the hotel from the outside on previous visits, and it did not disappoint for our stay. Well worth it.
It is a shame that the restaurant is only open 7.00-10.30pm on some days [including not Sundays]. Although there are lots of good restaurants in the immediate area, it is always good to be able to eat in the hotel where one is staying.
Location, comfortable beds, Quiet
+ Proximity to Tube and Public transport + Quit place
- Small rooms - Divided beds (standard room) - only 3 parking places - cold room
Close to Gard de Lyon Our room was quiet because it was up high and on the back side of the hotel Elevator
We didn't need it but there was no A/C Elevator was small
Breakfast was amazing, just looking at the spread. The rooms are very nice and decorated, maybe a bit small but the bathroom was large too. It's a good location for seeing the park nearby which has a lot of activities going on for the locals. The staff were friendly and helpful and looked professional. Metro is right outside.
They didn't have a laundry service, which was inconvenient.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the receptionist the lady who gave us good advise, and was very helpful. Good bed Next to Metro
very small wardrobe and no hangers
At first when walking in I thought wow, how interesting.. We are in an attic under a slanted ceiling. Looked interesting.. Real windows which opened wide. Decent bed, nice light fixtures. The included breakfast was wonderful!!!!
Unfortunately the slanted ceiling made it impossible for my 6'4" husband to take a shower. I took a bath and found it difficult to manoeuvre.
This was our third stay at the Hotel Claret, booked originally because it is halfway between the Gare de Bercy where put the car on the Autotrain and the Gare de Lyon from where we follow the car by TGV the next morning. We have found the staff unfailingly friendly and helpful & the hotel itself clean and welcoming. A good tip we discovered after our first stay: it is well worth paying extra for a 'Superior' room - it is much quieter and looks out over the garden at the back.
Location was good near to the RER and Metro Staff friendly
175euro for an none air conditioned small room is excessive. Hotel is tired. Towels need replacing as they are wafer thin.
Could have a meal despite arriving 9pm.
good location. excellent breakfast. really good value
no air con
The price was good. I stayed there twice and got the room for 89Euros for 2 persons both the time. Provided a decent breakfast that was inclusive in the cost. Very close to main train station Gary du Lyon. Just located by the side of Bercy metro station.
Rooms are very small, but that is a trend in Paris. The main road facing rooms are noisy at night because of cars rushing by. The summers may be little hot as the room does not have Air conditioning. It has only heating.
It was great. The hotel is nicely located with the good French feel to it. The staff was very helpful. Overall I recommend the hotel claret.
The only bad side was that our room had a little smell. (Smell of old)
Close proximity to Gare de Bercy and easy access to restaurants and bars.
Hot with no air conditioning
Location is really good & convenient.
The hotel was really good value. The guy on reception when we arrived was really helpful in showing us how to get to the carpark to park our car overnight. The hotel even let us leave the car in their carpark while we did a quick tool of Paris before we left for the next city on our trip. The metro stop is just outside the hotel and the breakfast was great too. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Paris.
Very quiet area, central, good value for money.
service, room, beds, wifi was not working.
convenience for metro. Hotel had own carpark at a reasonable price for Paris
Noisy at night if window open. A bit scruffy
The room was very clean and cozy, the hotel is renovated. Internet works well, breakfast is quite rich. The staff speaks perfect english. There is an elevator, and a train station just at the entrance. Close to Bercy nice cafe and entertainment area. Booking.com fee is cheaper than the hotel price - very recommended.
The only thing I did not like about this hotel was that the doors are very thin - I could hear the alarm clock of the neighbor, the cleaning lady knocking on his door and any little piece of conversation in the other room. Stayed in room 202.
It is a very nice little hotel good for a week-end stay in Paris.
Convenient location, next to Metro station and a 3-minute walk to Bercy train and coach station (perfect for traveling to London by IDBus). Staff very helpful. Breakfast had no hot dishes but nevertheless satisfying, with plenty of fresh baguettes and croissants. Renovated bathroom with amazing water pressure!
Two drawbacks: no fridge in room (the hotel staff was very helpful about storing our milk in the lobby fridge) and only one power socket in room (we had two smartphones and a tablet to charge every night and we had to get up in the middle of the night to switch. Again, help offered by reception but not convenient to have your phone away from your room when you're abroad). Don't know if I would stay there again if these issues are not attended to and it's a pity because everything else was perfect:)
