Flooring in main corridor made a lot of noise when walked on.
Budget hotel - would have liked to be able to eat there after having driven for 7 hours .... Staff didn't speak much English - but accommodation ok
The staff were excellent. Lots of free parking. The restaurant was a huge surprise. Pleasant and helpful staff, excellent preparation, presentation, taste and priced fairly for the guest. Overall, we will definitely be back.
A bit of a hike to our 3rd floor room with no lift. The wifi was sketchly and unreliable but it eventually worked for what we needed. These are minor complaints. We loved our stay here.
Friendly, helpful staff With the language barrier, the staff was very patient assisting me and my needs.
the location of the toilet in the bath room. The ceiling was slanted and even a short 5 ft 6 in guy like me could not .stand to pee without knocking my head on the slanted ceiling
Bed linen tired, rooms seemed dark, felt like a porta cabin
breakfast was delicious
bedcheats wherent changed.bodyhair of the previous man where still in the bed
Parking, good breakfast, staff, quiet.
Old building, not so clean, most of services in the room didn't work, far from the city center.
Restaurant surprisingly closed sunday. Very hot room, hard to sleep, though quiet enough.
Nice hotel in the outskirts of Caen, very near to the Memorial. Rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and abundant and the staff friendly and efficient. I would highly reccommend it if you're touring Normandy by car..
The food and the ambiance The little restaurant was great Staff was friendly and helpful
The waterproof mattress protector and the hard pillows
I booked least a year before and got all my friends to book too. Was very pleasantly surprised as it was a great experience. Very pleasant staff and clean rooms. Super meals too
Not much if anything
Room was in good condition and space for the 3 of us.
The restaurant was superb. We'd just booked to stop overnight en route to Brittany, and found the hotel really friendly and convenient, but the quality of the evening meal was a major bonus.
We really enjoyed our 6-night stay at this well-located hotel which is situated in a reasonably quiet but easily accessible and highly respectable part of the town. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We only had a few evening meals at the hotel but were never disappointed - was certainly the best value for money we encountered anywhere. Added bonuses was its easy proximity to 3 bus routes and the historical and educational splendour of the Caen Memorial. If I was fortunate enough to be in a position to return to Caen (delightful town that it is) I would definitely return.
There was nothing about the hotel that I didn't like :)
beds were actually comfortable shower was amazing staff were very friendly
Room was small, it smelled a little and needed airing, there was only 3 single beds for a family of 4 food in restaurant was way overpriced in relation to quality The place seriously needs a lick of paint and updating, its still stuck in the 80s
We stayed for one night at hotel crocus on route to our holiday destination and found it comfortable, clean, nice food & staff helpful.
Buffet is really not worth the money
convenient location ample parking Good sized room clean decent clean bathroom comfortable beds Good value
One staff member at breakfast, struggling to replenish supplies of food and coffee (self service) Bar shut when we arrived at 10.30 No water in room and no drink making facilities
Friendly helpful staff, good reasonably priced food in the restaurant, good buffet breakfast, good all round.
Quiet, and functional, good price
a bit used-up.
Excellent value for money, very clean and friendly helpful staff!
Location - slightly out of the city centre but close to a bus route.
The Crocus is extremely well-placed for ferry travellers either arriving g or departing France, being only 15/20 mins from Ouistreham port. I use it when I can if it fits with my plans. It is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Good parking facilities. Nice restaurant. Good selection at breakfast. Dog friendly.
No tea making facilities in room. No lift. (But the receptionist did carry my suitcase up the stairs for me. ) Lots of noisy children on our first night.
Close to the museum
Had to be in the lobby to use wifi and it had a poor strength also a bus was required to get into town if you did not have a car.
