Crystal Hotel  

We are a family of four with older children who recently stayed at this hotel over the Christmas holidays for 6 nights. The hotel is a little boutique hotel in the Saint Germain des Pres area which is a lively yet not frenzied area of Paris. This hotel is one of the few that had a room large enough for the 4 of us to sleep in with an updated bathroom. The ceilings are high and there was a wardrobe for clothes to be hung and a working safe. There was room enough for our luggage and we could still walk in the center of the room. No room for dancing though. :>) Plus the hotel blessedly put in sound proof windows. I kid you not. Once the windows were closed, all sound was muffled from outside and no cold air leaked in. The heavy drapes over the window increased the effect. The room also had good internet and a flat screen tv (which we never turned on). The staff is friendly and helpful. The location cannot be beat. It was within walking distance to many points of interest and very close to a Metro stop. Be aware that the hotel is under renovation, however it did not hinder our stay. The work began at 8:00 - 8:15 am (no earlier) and ended by 4:30 pm. Wge were out every morning by 8:30. Some people have a problem with hotels under renovation; we do not. I find it a positive sign that the owners are improving their properties when they do renovation.

The Hotel is in a great location, just right next to Les Deux Magots. The metro station is just there, and there are lost of shops, restaurantes and café to go to. From there you can just walk to Notre Dame. The staff of the hotel are also very nice.

The room could be just a bit cleaner.

The staff was kind and extremely helpful. The location is great - close to metro line 4 for day travel and 5 minutes walk to many restaurants, bars cafe's for night.

The room got cold at night and the heating didn't work at the hotel

The location is wonderful. Close to many attractions if you are willing to do a little foot travel in the city.

Elevator goes only to the 4th floor, our room on the 5th. Okay during the day, but dark to pass through the stairwell in the evenings.

Walking, shopping, sightseeing, theatre, food and wine, no stone left unturned.

Location, staff and overall experience. Rooms could be a little larger but are well decorated and fairly confortable.

Lift is tiny... And one cannot stay at the reception lounge (for instance, to use internet) after 12 or 1 in the night...

Without question it would be the service provided by the friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable staff. In particular, Bruno was an absolute godsend! He assisted us not only with our travels in Paris, but also advised us in booking the TGV to Amsterdam, ans a hotel there.

Close to shopping and most landmarks in Paris. This is located close to the St.germain des Pres metro station making it very convenient to travel to any part of Paris connected by the metro network. Hotel also had pretty good Internet connectivity, something that I found to be a luxury in Paris. Thee was an extra cot for us in the room. Although we did not need it I reckon that folks traveling with kids might find this very useful. 2 decent cafes right next door to the hotel.

Lots of things that I did not like as well. Here's the list 1. Wife suffered bed bug bites. 2. Toilet seat was broken on one side and they did not really care fit it. Elevator was just enough for 1 person and 1 suitcase. 3. Worst of all with this place is the complete lack of any sound proofing between rooms. On our 2nd night there we could hear the loud noise of the elevator doors. The guy in the next room was in some sort of an argument with someone over the phone and we could hear all that Loud&Clear ! The doors bang when they are close and that's pretty loud too. Al in all I would not recommend this if youre planning a romantic or a family vacation. Might work out if you're in transit or visiting for a short visit.

The receptionist were wonderfully welcoming and hospitable , helpful as well.the location of the hotel is excellent to have a feel of the true Parisian life.

The rooms are very old! Bathrooms as well . Urgent need for a re looking . If renovated it would be excellent .

The location was excellent. Very central with lots to do. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The room was completeley dark and full of unnecessary furniture, it was beside the toilette...

リピーターですが、まわりの３つ星と比べれば値段はかなり割高です。タオルが古すぎ固くてゴワゴワ。湯上が- りマットと、バスタオルが同じ固さにはいつも疑問がある。皆さんが自宅で使うタオルの方がよっぽどましです- 。床のカーペットがあまりにも古くてボロボロ。汚く気持ち悪い、毛布も１５年位たった代物。なんで儲かって- いるのだからかえないんだろうといつも思っています。リフォームしたと伺っていますが、せめて旅人にサービ- ス出来る調度面にお金をかけないとはどういうことでしょうか？サンジェルマンのホテルと思ってラブリー＆エ- レガント、パリのホテルと思って期待され泊る方、女性陣にはお勧め出来ない。あくまでもビジネス向きのホテ- ルの便利さです。

A localização é fantástica.

Eu estava viajando com minha família (mulher + 2 filhas menores), com muita bagagem. Fomos instalados no maior quarto do hotel, que fica no quinto andar. Mas o elevador só chega até o quarto andar. Fui obrigado a subir pelas escadas um andar, carregando oito malas, sem ter ninguém para ajudar.
