Crystal Hotel  

We are a family of four with older children who recently stayed at this hotel over the Christmas holidays for 6 nights. The hotel is a little boutique hotel in the Saint Germain des Pres area which is a lively yet not frenzied area of Paris. This hotel is one of the few that had a room large enough for the 4 of us to sleep in with an updated bathroom. The ceilings are high and there was a wardrobe for clothes to be hung and a working safe. There was room enough for our luggage and we could still walk in the center of the room. No room for dancing though. :>) Plus the hotel blessedly put in sound proof windows. I kid you not. Once the windows were closed, all sound was muffled from outside and no cold air leaked in. The heavy drapes over the window increased the effect. The room also had good internet and a flat screen tv (which we never turned on). The staff is friendly and helpful. The location cannot be beat. It was within walking distance to many points of interest and very close to a Metro stop. Be aware that the hotel is under renovation, however it did not hinder our stay. The work began at 8:00 - 8:15 am (no earlier) and ended by 4:30 pm. Wge were out every morning by 8:30. Some people have a problem with hotels under renovation; we do not. I find it a positive sign that the owners are improving their properties when they do renovation.

The location was great.

The furnishings in the room were pretty shabby. The carpet was worn, the bedspreads were quite threadbare and the blankets were scratchy. The bathroom was extremely tiny even by Paris standards.

The staff were excellent. They were very friendly and helpful. We had a family room which offered us great accommodation. The location is great,

It was all great, the lift was very small but I think that is Europe.

I like the location and the staff.

Outlets did not work well.

the staff at the desk were helpful, room no 9 was spacious and could fit 3 persons, apparently rms 14 and 16 as good, breakfast was ample, the area around is buzzing with shops, cafes and restaurents, it is walking distance from Notre Dame where you can get a boat ride (hop on hop off) to all the other main sites. i would definitely go back there

Location! Easy walking distance to everything.

Price was a little more than desired, but we knew this up front.

Location was excellent.

Not very clean. Mold in bathroom. Holes in walls. Did not change bed linen or new towles for three days. No air conditioning, despite that is what is said on website. Very hard (concrete-like) beds.

The location is fantastic, just off Saint Germain Bld and 2 minutes from the Saint Germain Des Pres metro station. The room was huge for Paris and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful with any queries we had about where to eat etc.

Nothing had a very enjoyable stay - would book this hotel again.

Eventhough there was construction in the hotel the staff was very accomodating. Nothing specifcally bothered me in this hotel.

Hôtel idéalement situé pour visiter Paris et quartier Saint Germain trés animé le soir ! Disponibilité et extrème gentillesse du personnel ! Petit déjeuner copieux ! Un hôtel à recommander sans aucun problème ! Bien sûr , quartier animé donc bruyant le soir , mais en ce qui nous concerne, c'est ce que nous recherchions !

A localização é fantástica.

Eu estava viajando com minha família (mulher + 2 filhas menores), com muita bagagem. Fomos instalados no maior quarto do hotel, que fica no quinto andar. Mas o elevador só chega até o quarto andar. Fui obrigado a subir pelas escadas um andar, carregando oito malas, sem ter ninguém para ajudar.

A localização do hotel é excelente, os quartos são amplos e confortáveis, o banheiro é ótimo e os funcionários são atenciosos e simpáticos.

O elevador é pequeno e apertado, mas não chega a comprometer.
