The Hotel was positioned excellently for shopping, eating, and city sightseeing. Staff we experienced were great at speaking English, and were very friendly and accommodating. Discounted parking voucher was very useful. Parking was not available at the Hotel, but is a shortish walking distance away (if you don't get lost in the maze of streets), about 5 minutes or so.

Centrally-located; equidistant between bus station & papal palace (just over 5 minute walk to each). Added bonus of being just along the road from a super-market, so you can stock up on your picnic food on your way to the bus station for a trip out into the beautiful surrounding countryside. Lovely old period building, but modern, up-to- date, comfortably-furnished rooms. We had the room for 4 and were impressed with the amount of space! And the beds were very comfortable! Staff were extremely polite & pleasant. A great hotel at a great price...we will definitely stay again on our next visit to Avignon! Breakfast was quite expensive at 9 euros for just a small selection of not particularly inspiring croissants, cheese & ham. We chose to breakfast out in town. No tea/coffee facilities in room, but there is a machine in the foyer where you can get hot drinks for 1 euro, as well as bottled water.

The location of the Danieli was absolutely perfect to enjoy the sites of Avignon. It is on the main street with easy access to the sites within the city walls. The room and its furnishings were very simple, but it was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) was pleased with the size of our room. Price, location and simplistic comfort were all great! The internet was a little frustrating at times. It would time out easily and you would have to reconnect, but did work well otherwise. It was included with the price of the room!

Our family of 5 stayed 2 nights at the Danieli Hotel. We found the accommodation to be very comfortable, clean and in a great location. The staff were very oblidging with our requests. The hotel is in walking distance to all the main tourist attractions of the Pont D'Avignon and the Papal Castle. With only two floors to the hotel, not having a life wasn't really a problem. As we arrived on New Years Day, our room was not available until 4pm. With literally nothing opened in town, it would have been nicer to have had access to the room earlier.

10 minutes walk from the rail station, locates at the main street and easy access to center of Avignon, the staff is helpful. breakfast too expensive, no lift, room a little old, the shower is too weak and the shower screen doesn't really work which water easily splash all over the floor.

Beautiful place with charm. ENORMOUS wooden doors at front. The front facing of the building was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me to print boarding passes by emailing when the printer in lobby stopped working. At breakfast there were croissants as big as the front door that was delicious. A large group was there that day and the croissants were gone quickly, so the clerk ran out for more. I would recommend the Danieli. I had a room with no view, but it was tranquil and quiet and I slept very well. No matter to me, but the hotel does not have an elevator.

Good location to historic sites, restaurants and shopping district. The receptionist who greeted us and was on duty for the first few days of our stay, was outstanding. His name was Surav (I think). He went out of his way to help us book tours and fix a few issues with our room. The building that houses Danieli has a rather attractive facade. Danieli shares an entrance with another hotel which, during our stay, was undergoing significant renovation. As a consequence, to enter Danieli, one had to walk through a building site. It is not satisfactory, but outside Danieli's control. I imagine that this situation is only temporary. Danieli is a budget hotel and thus it would be churlish to criticize it for lack of luxury. On balance, I think if I were to travel to Avignon again, I would look for a more up-market hotel.

The location is great. The room was set up with 5 small beds with a tiny bathroom in which shower access was awkward. It wasn't all that good for a single traveller but would have been good value for young people travelling together

location The lights in the corridors going out much too quickly for safety and convenience we missed our footing on steps several times. There is absolutely no doubt what so ever that a very expensive ladies sweater was stolen from our room when 1) either the room was cleaned or 2\ someone with key access. we reported this theft. No doubt what so ever.! we helped many quests who were struggling with large suit cases on the stair cases. (Lift or help needed )

Danieli was a great hotel. The location is fantastic - just down the road from the Palais de Papes etc. We had a room for four people and it was huge - the biggest I have ever had. It was extremely clean and airy; it was perfect. The walk from the Central railway station was easy to manage - about 300 metres. Perfect for a reasonably priced hotel in a great location. I would definitely come again. We didn't use many of the facilities. The wi fi worked well downstairs.

Very helpful staff who were friendly, welcoming, spoke good English and gave excellent recommendations for restaurants, places to visit etc, Sanjiv and Carolina in particular. Great location. Bed comfortable, room quiet. Good-sized bathroom. Not really three star accommodation standard. TV in room too small to see from the bed. Plastic flooring in bedroom OK but rather basic. Tin wardrobe functional but again basic. Breakfast selection rather limited for 9euro; croissants greasy.
