Convenient position located near the centre of town. Secure parking. Attractive garden to the rear of the hotel where breakfast was served. Rooms (on third floor) were difficult to get to. Three flights of stairs. No lift. Rooms were small but clean and adequate for a one or two night stay.

Nice and small hotel, used by us as a stop-over on our way to the south of France. Beds are good, breakfast ok. Excellent point: the private parking place, as a result of which you do not have to unload your car (which was packed with holiday stuff).

A normal 2 star French Hotel with no thrills, good location, good breakfast and within walking distance of some good bars and restaurants. The owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms where quite basic and needing redecoration but is what we expected for the price

We stayed at the hotel en route for Italy, to break the long journey. It is an honest small town family-run French hotel, with a very helpful host. Just one overnight. Certainly was value for money.

Helpful, friendly welcoming staff. We had view of back garden and a shower which was good. Reasonable breakfast. Recommended an excellent local restaurant in walking distance. Good location - in a small town - good for wine tours - tasting and buying. Hotel sells wine too. Bit basic. No hairdryer and no 2nd pillow. WC a bit awkward as in a 'cupboard'. But was okay for a stopover.

The room was very large as was the bathroom. The staff, husband and wife, treated us as if we were family members visiting their home. Alexander, the husband was gracious and enjoyable who gave us a visit of his art studio which is connected to the hotel. Hotel parking, again a big plus. For those who have not traveled the France, or Europe for that matter, you will appreciate parking. . . better than gold. Located wine route. No elevator, so if you can prepare a lighter bag before arrival, it will make it easier to climb the narrow steps to the rooms above.

Want to see and be a part of the real France? The Hotel De La Ferte in Chagny, the heart of Burgandy wine country. Nicely decorated rooms with views of a private garden. Secure parking, Delightful small town with wonderful restaurants several we ate at, one with an open wood burning grill, within walking distance. Owners Alexandre and Catherine are very helpful and their wine cellar is a special treat. Alexandre is a renowned artist and has several pieces of his work on display at the hotel. When you're here you feel at home. Highly recommended... Bob and Pat McNamara Virginia, usa

Lovely French town. Hotel basic but clean. Good continental breakfast. Ideal stop over on our way to skiing in Alps. Good VFM. 3 French young men making noise at 4am. Woke all our party up. Not hotels fault.

Das für Frankreich ungewöhnlich vielfältige Frühstück. Sehr freundlicher Hotelier, der deutsch spricht. Parkplatz beim Hotel . Hoteleigener romantischer Garten. Essen im Restaurant des Sohnes des Hotelinhabers empfehlenswert.
