We arrived quite late at the hotel, where we were greated by prostitutes flanking the door, only to find that not one, but two windows were broken in our room. Because of the repairs, we couldnt sleep till midnigt. Then, we opened our cigarette burned blanket to find it covered in hair--which was mostly pubic hair! We asked for a new blanket--only to discover that it was also covered in hair. A third came--same thing. We slept in sheets that night. Not that we slept a lot because the walls were paper thin! It sounded like a bad porno (pretty sure some of the rooms are rented by the hour). Forget about washing your face, the sink ledge doesnt allow you to. Also, shower flooded out into room, there was no safe, no chairs, no tables, no real pillows, no wardrobe, no door on the shower, . Do not go to this hotel! In fact I wouldnt suggest going to any hotel in this general area unless you like sleeping in the ghetto. If you read this and go, then don't be surprised.

The only thing we liked about this hotel was the location. It literally was right outside the metro, which made it really easy to travel to the main city and all around Paris. There did, however, seem to be tons of metro stops, so this positive point of the hotel really isn't a rare find or something. Plus, we didn't walk to any of the attractions, because there was nothing but a mcdonald's nearby. So it's a good thing it was so close to the metro since we had to soley rely on that. We arrived well after check-in time, to find a disgusting room. There was a condom on the floor, spilled lube on the nightstand, and the other nightstand used as an ashtray in our "non-smoking" room. When we notified the staff to clean the mess, the maid just picked up the items and told us the bed already had clean linen. The room had no air conditioning, and no screen on the window, so all night long we had bugs flying in and heard the honks of traffic to put us to sleep. Lastly we were on the 5th floor with the only way up being a tiny spiral staircase-- for 5 flights of stairs! From the minute we checked in, we considered immediatly checking out, and I wish we would have. Staying at such a nasty hotel really put a damper on our trip.

the hotel was right next to the metro so that was excellent. the staff were very nice and accomodating. they were very approachable. they went the extra step when then cleaned our rooms as far as organizing stuff. i can't think of anything i did not like. yes the area might not look that pleasant, but it is very convenient and the staff are friendly and we were very comfortable the whole time.

1) Broken bed and tables in rooms. 2) very compact room and toilet, you can barely move at room and toilet is so compact, that you can not even go inside the toilet. 3) no lift, you have to carry up your luggage through stairs. 4)dirty room carpets. 5) walls are reconstructed but not painted.

Friendly staff, however in a very bad neighbourhood. It was nevertheless a convenient location: close to public transport and railway station.

Free WiFi available in the lobby, and there is also a computer you can pay to use. There were locking doors with card entry for our rooms and there was a small safe in our room for valuables. Overall I would not stay here again, but I think it is fine if you intend on being there mainly for sleeping. The hotel is directly across the road from Porte De Clignancourt metro, and there is a supermarket and McDonalds right across the road, however the area itself feels particularly unsafe, with a lot of pickpockets and beggars. The hotel was in fairly shabby condition, including loose wiring everywhere (dangerous) and a very narrow staircase (with no lift). The hotel rooms were old and shabby, but mainly clean, and fine if you weren't spending much time there. I found the staff to be mainly unfriendly. One night all the lighting in our room went off. We thought a fuse may have blown and went down to reception. We were told that it was too late for anyone to do anything, and that we should just go back to our room. They didn't even check the fuse box or find out if other guests were affected. Luckily, the lighting came back on within about 10min however there were a couple more short blackouts.

When we arrived I must say I was very disapointed :( in fact disappointed would be an understatement. I recognise that you get what you pay for but I have done budget and this was beyond budget. The area didn't bother me as I know Paris and I knew the area was a little out of the way which I don't mind. But when we arrived they were doing renovations all over the hotel, this I felt needed to be stipulated before we arrived so we could decide whether we still wanted to stay...it was very noisy and dirty. Also given they were renovating the so called restaurant wasn't operating, again this should have been made clear to us on booking. I may still have chosen to stay but I would have liked to have been given the choice. The room was dark, towels dirty and hair in the shower... Not sounding good is it :( In there defence the young guy behind the counter did try to pacify the situation by offering to refund our nights paid and find us another hotel in the area but given we didn't want the hassle we stayed, so thank you to him as he had no control over the other stuff

This hotel was a good price at 70 euros a night on a busy week in Paris but it was more like a hostel. Older rooms, paint peeling off the walls and the hotel seemed to be in a transitional state as workers were hauling in bags of concrete. Ok, though, if you are just looking for a place to crash your head for 1-2 days We booked a room for three people and you couldn't even open the door to the room without having it hit the bed which you had to climb over in order to get into the room. In other words---it was way too crammed in to be called a 3 person room. Beds were lumpy but the room overall way clean so...if for a few nights ok. The location was a bit far out but again ok for the price for 3 people.

The location - the hotel is a few steps away from a metro stop. Also the rooms have their own bathrooms and a television. The hotel is ideal for tourists on a budget who spend the day sightseeing and only come to the hotel to sleep. The staff is helpfull I had to change rooms three times because the electricity in my first room did not work. The third time, the staff moved my belonings to another room without my knowledge. I really did not enjoy shuffling around like that especially after running around Paris all day.

1. Metro - 1 minute walk from the hotel. 2. Bike rent and a supermarket opposite the hotel. 3. Common kitchen - there are tablewared and a microwave owen. You can also make yourself tea/coffee (if you bring it with you) but there is no kettle - you'll need to boil water on the owen in a pan. 4. The windows are double-glazed and you don't hear the noise from the street (though you do from the next rooms and the stairs). 1. The walls are very thin - you can hear other people talking, using the bathroom and everthing people are doing in the the next rooms (that's horrible). 2. There were hair in the sink and shower when I arrived. 3. Only French tv channels. 4. The bathroom is very small. Not enough space even to dry yourself without hitting the walls. Also, there is only one bath towel. The shower curtain is so short that after the shower all the floor was wet. 5. The room is very warm and stuffy. I had to open the window and in the mornings pigeons got into the room. 6. The key-card was broken and glued together with a sticky tape.

Hotel de la Terrasse is a budget hotel and currently being renovated. The room was basic but there were clean towels and clean bedding. I have been to Paris many times before and this hotel was not much different than the rest. We stayed on the 5th floor, there is no lift but on the plus, we couldn't hear any of the renovation noise. We didn't go to Paris for the hotel so it fitted out needs perfectly. Also it is only 15 minutes from the sacre coeur. The area is pretty rough and wouldn't recommend going out late at night. Although there's a Metro station outside the door so you don't have to walk far.

I actually didnt like nothing. The services were bad, not so clean, and there was no insulation at all. I could hear people opening the doors, speaking and laughing in the middle of the night and I had to aks for a towel twice.

The main advantage of the hotel was the location. The room was adequate for the purpose - it was big enough for the 4 of us. The shower was clean and had basic toiletries available. Don't expect luxury but you get what you pay for. A bit shabby. Very basic. Bad smell of curry on the corridor but not in the rooms. Plaster hanging off the walls.

I suppose the only think I can say about the hotel is that it was right opposite the metro station which took 30-40 minutes to get to Charls de gaul the main metro station in the city. The room had just been cleaned and we met the cleaner leaving it. Only for the strong smell of bleach which made me think the room was clean I can honestly say I would have been leaving! 3 Friends and myself stayed ere for the weekend to nights Friday and Saturday. On entering the so called hotel it was like a building site cement, sand, stones everywhere. In our room the 3 windows were broken I had to get the man on reception to come up to fix them and he had to start replacing the window latches!! I wanted to run a mile.

If I travel as a "budget version" - of course Rooms actually smaller, darker than the picture. But value for money - good. It is well located - it is two steps from the subway, in the same house restaurant, where delicious cooking, close - McDonalds and other network cafe.if you do not be lazy and walk down the street to Montmartre - appear very nice street with bistros - the first impression of the area in front of the hotel is misleading. Excellent option for those who are limited in the money and went to Parikh to walk around the city, and not be in the room. Thank you!
