Hotel De La Treille  

Our room was close to the street and too noisy for my light sleeper wife. We informed the front desk and they changed our room with no problem. They were very friendly.

I suppose it's reasonable value for the money. At full price however I would have not been pleased with the overall quality. The location is excellent.

Rooms are quite small but in an old building that' s to be expected. If breakfast hadn' t been included would have been a bit on the expensive side. Internet in rooms very expensive.

This was the wort hotel I have ever stayed in so far and I'm working for the international organization, so I really travel from time to time. To mention only a few points: 1. When I entered the room, there was a bug on the curtain, the shower door was broken, the room was very very small with a small bed (136Euro per night!!!) not like on the picture, the smell in the room was terrible; to have internet in the room I would have to pay additionaly 15 Euro per every 24hours. I paid for everything one night before, still I was stopped the next morning and the staff examined me if I paid or not.

Bang in the centre of the old town of Leille with a wide range of restaurants and boutiques. 10 minute or so cab ride from Eurostar and walking distance to the excellent Museum with a stunning range of paintings. English speaking reception. Good breakfast arrangements.

The description of hotel facilities stated there was an elevator. However, we were given a room in the basement with no elevator and this was not stated in the booking confirmation or at the desk when we arrived. The first we knew was after booking in and then we went past the lift to a spiral staircase - 20 steps. As I have mild to moderate arthritis I was not happy but we did not complain as it was only one night. It did however, put some strain on my knees which are still fragile. The breakfast did not have any hot food when we sat down to eat and then it was poor quality bacon. The window glass in the room was broken and the view outside was of a patch of rough ground

location of hotel to old town. the fact that i could park my motobike ina secure place at the hotel.

the lock on my door looked faulty from the start of my stay & eventually broke, meaning that i was locked out & had to gain entry via the balcony of another room

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel as they rip you off - there is a small fridge located in your room with drinks inside. The drinks are not complementary, but no one tells you about this at the time and there is no price list. When I received my bill it turned out that the four drinks I had cost me more than 12 Euros - in British currency - that works out at almost nearly £2.70 per can of drink!! John
