The restaurant is fantastic and they have updated the reception area since we were there last year. Unfortunately, the money they have spent on the refurbishment was not spent on the rooms. The hotel is basic but the restaurant is fantastic.

The restaurant was the best feature. The food was excellent, the service superb the pricing acceptable. The bathroom amenities were more than scarce and the requested wake up call never happened. The phone was off the hook but would have expected a knock on the door.

This was a convenient stop o our route, and we would certainly stop here again. The restaurant we found to be very good with courteous with friendly, helpful staff. A walk around the lake in the evening sunshine was very enjoyable, but the two half-decent-looking local restaurants in that direction were closed on Tuesday evenings, so we were forced to eat in the hotel, which turned out to be a good experience. The hotel staff, (as opposed to the restaurant staff) we found to be stiff and unfriendly, and the cleaning staff we whispering in corners and looking glum about something. The rooms were clean with the exception of the bathroom which had a mouldy smell and the grouting in the shower/bath was in very bad shape.

Renovations finished, clean and comfortable, great location on the lake. We didn't eat there, it seemed very expensive: €10 each for breakfast, though to be fair, don't know what you got for that. Quenelle de brochet sauce Nantua is the dish to have in Nantua. It's not on any of their fixed dinner menus, which start at €22.60. It is available à la carte at €17.60, which is reasonable, but every thing else is €20 plus, so the meal would add up very rapidly. Wines looked expensive, too. We just went down the road to the restaurant in the corner of the bay, perfectly good brochet there, prices much more realistic. Again, if you didn't want quenelles de brochet, their menus looked nice - but still too dear...

1. Floor of room was wet. Comment about thuis was met with indifference. 2. We reserved table at restaurant four days before arrival, and received confirmation. When we went in for dinner, we were led to a poor table and told that the comfortable ones (by the window) were all reserved!! 3. No coffee or tea facilities in room.

the motel is undergoing renovations so things arent as perfect as they will be, but the location was fabulous and the brekky excellent. there was not hot water for showers in the evening or the next morning. we called the reception and waited about 3o minutes for it to come on. very graciously the bill was discounted for the inconvenience. thankyou

Situation/position. Good breakfast in room. The restaurant seemed ridiculously overstaffed. Many excellent restaurants operate with 75% less staff. This would permit more reasonable food prices. Food is good but prices are not. Quenelles de Brochet, sauce Nantua may be a justifiably excellent speciality, but the restaurant could do more to remove the seemingly constant smell of fish.

Sa situation géographique, sa décoration et amènagement de l'entrée , réception et salle de restaurant . Par contre un effort important est à faire dans la rénovation de la chambre'(celle que j'occupais coté jardin) qui n'est plus au standard courant de type novotel. Dommage qu' au premier apercu on est séduit puis dés arrivé dans la chambre , on est presque décu.

La grande qualité de la table, le premier menu aux alentours de 25 € élaboré avec des produits simples (pied de porc, grondin ...) était d'une qualité et d"une présentation exceptionnelles, bravo au chef. Ce premier menu sur la carte absolument délicieux ne proposait pas d"alternative et il fallait aimer porc et poisson pour en profiter !

Situation au bord du lac et belle vue depuis la chambre. Restaurant gastronomique Confort chambre ok mais sans plus. Chauffage chambre tout juste (mais -10°c à l'extérieur). Ville de Nantua peu agréable au mois de Février.
