That was our second time to stay at hotel de l'ocean and that's where we'll stay everytime we visit Paris.
Close to Gare du Nord, nice neutral decor and clean bathroom. Bed very comfortable. Proximity to a Metro station.
Poor WiFi reception.
the room was small and a bit cramped
-spacious rooms for Paris - friendly staff - easy to get to from Gard de Nord - round the corner from metro.
Small rooms, wifi not good. Will never stay on that hotel again.
Good value. Close to Gare du Nord. Breakfast was pretty good.
Room was small. Charming view out the window of a concrete wall. Bathroom old, noisy (i could hear the toilets upstairs being flushed down the stack). Beds old. Glad i was alone -- that i didn't have my family there to criticize my choice of hotel.
reasonable location close to cadet metro station made it easy to get around paris, worth noting that its not central so you will need to use public transport or taxis to get around rooms were clean, facilities basic
staff could have been friendlier
The hotel is very close to cadet metro station, and very close to rue la fayette. There are McDonalds and Starbucks on the corner of the street and a supermarket near by. The room is spacious and clean, the bed is nice and there is a minibar and a kettle. We didnt take the breakfast and just bought groceries and made sandwiches every morning. The staff is very nice and helpful.
They had some WiFi troubles. many technical issues but ultimatly they gave us a password to a different network.
The friendly athmosphere, location, facilities
Room cleaning too late
The front desk staff are wonderful. They speak many languages and the information they dole out is almost always accurate (within a Metro stop). The rooms appear to be clean, the bed was comfy and the internet worked. The rooms are small, but why are you in Paris? Are you there to spend your nights in a hotel or see things and then just sleep?!
One morning there was no hot water. A cool shower was fine but there may have been others who were not impressed. At 12 E breakfast is bit over priced for the hotel.
Close to Gare du Nord and other excellent shopping locations.
No adverse comments
Friendly and informative staff, convenient location near transport.
The location is very good, near Metro, bus, sacre cour, carrefour, and McD. The bed is very comfort. The cleaning lady changes our towel every day.
There is no curtain in the bathtub, so it makes the bathroom becomes wet
It was 15 mins walk from Gare du Nord (Paris), the staff were polite and helpful, the place was quite but accessible to most major places by bus.
There is no family room. If you are a couple with two kids (or even one), you are compelled to rent TWO rooms and manage by yourself - wife and one kid in one room, husband alone in another etc. Requests made through booking.com are not answered nor taken into consideration. so beware !
Proximity to MTR.
Smoking customers that left a smell inside the room. Glad that they transferred us to another room.
Organization and information
Breakfast was so so
Resturant around the corner le croriel or something
Group of guys hanging around the park down the road
location Shower good bed
price. I realize June is a busy month in Paris, but felt the price for the room was too high
near metro station, restaurants close by, good breakfast, discount for parking (8 mins walk), bar in hotel
wifi with password per device and not good in the room
On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the bed room clean.
The reception, bar, loung area looked tired with flaking/patched pain and damaged plaster/wallpaper. Nasty smelly water came up from the bath plughole when using the sink!! The safe battery needed changing, it took two days of our three night stay before we could use the safe. Breakfast was a poor offering, no low fat options (milk and yoghurt both full fat), cardboard cereal and sweaty cheese, pastries were nice though. Air-con hardly cooled the room at all. Tea/coffee making facility in room but flimsy disposable cups and no milk. Fridge was warmer than the room - no good to keep anything cool.
location , view from window
no shower curtain or shower screen on bath so water went everywhere on the bathroom floor bedroom door from the bathroom was only possible to close by moving the bed a/c wasn t working , reported it but were told that it couldn t be fixed that night , was v warm in the room so had to sleep with windows open
When we arrived the room we were allocated was very small. I spoke to someone at reception who immediately checked for a larger room. There wasn't one available for our first night but we were swapped to a bigger room for the remainder of our stay. I was really pleased with how helpful the staff were.
