Beautiful rooms finished to a high standard. Good location for local food store. Friendly staff all of whom were happy to speak some English. A lift for carrying bags etc.
No very inspiring views from the rooms. Building and street looked a little shabby at first as did the hotels hall ways. Several floors up, but we soon got used to it.
location is perfect - close to the train/metro and bus stations. room is small, but good for solo traveller. staff is nice, wi fi is good, clean.
We used this hotel for a overnight stay in Paris. It was good value for money and the proximity to Gare du Nord was great for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free use of computer and printer was just what we needed to print boarding passes for our flight home. We had a quiet room overlooking a courtyard at the back of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.
Lift wasn't working during our stay but fortunately we weren't on a high floor. Horrible pink lights in the bedroom. Didn't take breakfast as it seemed expensive.
I love the location - near to everything and very convenient
Really liked location
Fire alarm going off in morning
Nice, clean, comfortable room!Close to Gare du Nord in a quiet street.Good access to metro.
Wifi signal on the 3rd floor a bit weak!
The location was excellent for arriving at Gare de Nord and leaving from Gare de L'est. the bathroom was modern and very clean. Wifi worked well on multiple devices.
Breakfast was not good value for the price and there was no service from staff.
Bed was like a cloud, great room size, clean and modern bathroom, air conditioning, peaceful, wifi was quick & efficient even when on top floor
Hallways outside the room looked old and worn in contrast to the rooms
Bad experience wouldn't recommend it. I booked for a double bed however arriving to the hotel I was givin a twin room with two single bed went back to reception and ask if possible to move to a different room the man refuse so my partner and I had ro sleep in separate bed.i didn't not appreciate the customer service from staff. Air con in the room doesn't work well. You can hear noisr from the people opposite our room which was really annoying all I wanted is to have a great time with my partner but it didn't happen.never again
Rooms, large and clean Good Bathroom Excellent location Good staff
Wi-fi at our end of building simply didn't work. I had to sit on steps
the staff was friendly and helpful, close to a lot of eating places and the train station.
the lift was too small, the staircase and corridor very narrow.
I liked the cellar where we could have breakfast. The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
The room in a corner was really small especially with the extra bed in it. We could not really close the curtains very good and the view was a brick wall. Also the room itself was really very warm.
Good location. Well presented
Would have preferred a kettle in the room
So close to the main station and also the metro. Easy to get around Paris from the hotel and of course because it is away from the main centre of the capital it meant reasonable price but it still maintains excellent standards.
Minor irritation to access the internet i the room although no problem in the reception.
Close to Gare du Nord. Clean, modern room. Friendly staff.
Room was on ground floor so some noise from outside.
Quiet at night. Convenient for train and metro. Air conditioning, fridge, safe, kettle, bath and shower. Comfortable bed. Plenty of fresh breakfast. Price.
Small lift. Short wardrobe, couldn't hang dress.
staff were great; location is handy to everyhing
fire alarms sounded 4 times during our 6 day stay - always early in morning. No fridge in room
The location was excellent! The hotel was only 3 or 4 minutes walking from the Gar du Nord Station. Anything you want, cafes, restaurants, are only blocks away. The hotel was clean. The bathroom was very clean.
The walls were too thin. You could hear everything, I mean everything! The spare pillows looked like that hadn't been washed. I saw hair on them. I decided I couldn't or wouldn't use them.
+ Close to Gare du Nord
- Shower room too small - Corridor too dim - Need a tint of fresh paint
We came into Paris via CDG airport, and the hotel was a short walk from the Gare du Nord where the connecting trains to the city arrive. The double room was a good size and all seems to have been recently decorated. We arrived early and the hotel kept our cases stored until we could check in later, so off we went to explore the city. The metro link was back at the Gare du Nord. Didn't try the breakfast so no comment. We wanted to get a coffee and croissant at one of the many streetside cafes instead.
If I had one grumble it would be the shower cubicle was slightly small. I'm not a large chap but the on/off lever came straight outwards and was regularly nudged off again during a shower. A twist mechanism is all it needs instead.
Thought breakfast poor value.
Newly refurbished room and bathroom
Bedding too hot needs sheet
Great location. Very convenient to train stations.
I arrived early and wasn't expecting to be able to check in but I was told they could have my room ready in 30 minutes, so I left my luggage in their store room and grabbed a coffee at a local cafe before coming back to freshen up. Reception was always staffed and they were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, quiet despite overlooking the road (it's only a side-street, so not very busy), nicely decorated in a 'boutique' style. The room safe was big enough for my large 17" laptop. The TV has accessible HDMI ports so, if you don't want to watch French TV, bring a media player and your favourite 'box set' on a USB stick! The air conditioning was amazing! The room was freezing when I arrived which was just what I needed to cool me down and wake me up after a very early flight from the UK! Location is great for Le Gare du Nord and Montmartre, with a 5-10 minute walk to several metro lines. The area around Le Gare du Nord was swamped with hawkers and scam artists, so not a particularly pleasant welcome to Paris but they don't travel as far as the hotel.
The large "double bed" turned out to be two singles zipped together, so wasn't comfortable to sleep in the middle (on the zip). As other people have noted, the lift (elevator) is small and would be a tight fit for 2 people with luggage... but so what? It's better than taking the stairs and there was never a long wait for it to arrive! The breakfast was expensive, although on a par with other Paris hotels I looked at. Other reviewers seem to expect a 'full English', American or even Indian breakfast! This is Paris - you get a 'continental' breakfast which mostly consists of pastries, bread and cold meats. If you don't like that, eat in one of the many local cafes instead. There's even a McDonalds near Le Gare du Nord, for people who won't try 'local' food! The shower tray in my room filled up with water because it didn't drain away fast enough.
