Far too expensive compared to its standard. Did not fulfill expectations, need renewal and the beds where terrible, esp. the extra bed in the familyroom.

This hotel has a really warm feel the minute you step into the lobby. Our was huge for Paris standards and had an equally huge bathroom with a bathtub and plenty of room to move. The beds were really comfy and there was a lot of floor space to spread out 2 months of shopping. The decor was simple and elegant. You can definitely walk to all of Pari's big attractions within 20 minutes from here. The metro is also quite close. Perfect location for exploring the Marais one of Paris's most charming location. Definitely say here again, especially with the special rate from booking.com The only minus was that there was not really a baggage store room, it just sat in the extended lobby area.

Location, helpful and friendly staff, close to metro. Room size was adequate for a Paris room. No fridge in the room, small sink in the bathroom, dirty curtains, paper thin walls, you could hear other rooms.

THe location was great for getting around the Marias area and surrounding venues. Hotel was comfortable but noisy if you opened the window! The air conditioning was a problem. There was no literature in the room giving hotel information or instructions for tv or air conditioniing etc. Could be noisy if window was open.

Small room but good size bathroom with good shower! Comfortable bed. Room was clean. Hotel stuff were helpful. Perfect for short city break! Wardrobe was very small. Result of small room... Better to remove a wardrobe and put hooks on the wall.

Excellent location close to Le Marais with all its restaurants, bars and venues. The rooms are very nice but might be a little larger. The reception staff was always very kind and helpful. The property would need a complete recarpeting. Given the hotel rates in Paris in general, breakfast should always be included. Just before getting there I stayed at a similar hotel in Frankfurt for exactly a half of the price- including breakfast. But that is unfortunately the way the cookie crumbles in London, Paris and Amsterdam :-(

Some of the staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Almost everything in our rooms was broken - the air-conditioning, the fridge, the toilet seat and the bin. The carpets were terribly dirty - perhaps to cover the smell of the dirt a very strong air freshener or bleach was used each day throughout the hotel. The 'family room' had two adjoining rooms. They were so small that a couple of adults would not be able to stay in either with any degree of comfort. The windows in one of the rooms did not open - the hotel said it was for the security of children. But in a room with broken air-conditioning, in the summer, this was uninhabitable. I would say this is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff gave us a 25% discount because everything was broken but these rooms would have been right for backpackers prepared to pay perhaps 30 euros per room per night.

Good location (though bit noisy from traffic). Room 206 had excellent view over 1-night Bastille concert (late into the night but so what!). Breakfast is continental only but plenty of cafes/bars. Clean with good bathroom. Bit noisy from the stree outside (mainly motorbikes) (but it IS Paris)

The staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. The bathroom was clean, bright and had a great shower. The location of the Hotel is in the fashionable Marais district with cafe, shops, galleries etc all within walking district. The condition of the carpet throughout the Hotel was quite disgusting, it was old, worn out and badly stained to the point where we felt uncomfortable walking barefoot on it.The rest of the decor was quite dated and needed to be freshened up. Luckily we were only booked in for one night (we joined friends staying there) as had our stay been for longer we would most certainly have changed hotels.

The location is really good. It is within walking distance to Pompetou Center and from there to Nortre Dame and a handful of other musemes and attractions. There are many restaurants in the area. It is close to bhv shopping center where I thinks the locals shops. The rooms are tiny but the bathrooms have a good size. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that all the rooms face the street which could be noisy at night. It didn't bother us much after a long day of very tiresome sight seeing.

Hôtel des Archives is well kept, clean and quite modern, with decent sized rooms/bathrooms in an excellent location within Le Marais. The best thing was probably the lovely staff for whom nothing was a problem. No bar fridge in my rooms!

Although I do not remember the gentleman's name who checked us in, not only was he friendly, but also very helpful. He arranged a taxi for a morning pick-up to the airport and suggested an excellent restaurant for our dinner. Also, it is difficult to find accomadations for three people in a room and Hotel des Archives easily accomplished this for us. The room setup worked fine for us for our one night stay. I would suggest that the carpets in our room and your stairways have seen better days.

The staff was very polite indeed. The hotel looks good but in certain places in the room the carpet is really dirty and the wallpaper very nice by the way) is starting to come off the wall (just two little things that could help to keep the standard/image).For the rest I had a very pleasent stay in the hotel. However, the staff was great!!.Thanks for your interest and I hope to see you sonn .-) .Hector
