Great location both for the Marais and general Saint Paul area and for access to the rest on inner Paris. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast Excessive street noise, suggest double glazing the windows

The hotel is great value - very clean, terrific location with 2 metro stations within minutes walk. My room was exactly as represented on the website. It was not small at all for Paris hotels and was efficiently laid out, clean and the bathroom was updated. Toiletries were basic so bring your own if you have certain preferences or buy some special treats at one of the many boutiques on your doorstep. Expect a tiny lift but remember that you are staying in an historic building that has been retrofitted. Didn't eat at the hotel but there is a boulangerie right beside the hotel or any number of fantastic spots any way you turn. The staff seem to have basic knowledge of the neighbourhood so if you need specific information, you will need to prepare yourself. They were quite pleasant and accommodating. Rooms have wifi but I wasn't travelling with a computer or smartphone. There is no computer available for guest use or any kind of business centre with stationery. The staff let me use reception computer to check in for my boarding pass however.

Location The air conditioning was broken the first night and we had to leave the window open because it was stifling inside...the street noise was unbearable. When we tried to book another hotel, the night staff had no idea how to operate the phone for an outside line. This is not a 3 star hotel.

The location was certainly the best aspect of this hotel. We were very disappointed on arrival since we were assigned a twin room and not a double as reserved. Apparently all other rooms were full so they could not change us (we arrived late, but had phoned ahead the day before to inform that we would arrive v. late). The next day the beds were made up as a double, but since we had planned a romantic w/e away, it got us off to a very bad start. I raised it with the reception and requested that they make a discount to compensate what they admitted was their "mistake" since apparently they changed rooms around at the last minute, but there was no willingness to take the issue into consideration - they offered breakfast, but we had never had breakfast in the hotel.

The Wi-Fi is fast. Rooms at the front of the hotel are small but bright. The bathroom is modern and nice. The bed was comfortable with nice crisp sheets. They didn't make up my room at all one day. The breakfast was minimal and served in a basement with no windows.

“Perfectly situated in central Paris for visiting the 'sights'. The duplex room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with coffee & tea- making facilities. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and were always cheerful and welcoming. Breakfast in the delightful cellar was excellent. ” Carole, Sompt |
