Score from 603 reviews Good
Friendly staff, good location, clean accomodations
Furnitures and decor - could be improved.
Excellent location, good breakfast selection, cleanliness of rooms, friendly and helpful staff
Rooms are a bit outdated, could need some refurbishing (though the bathroom was apparently recently renovated)
very clean and the showers & fittings are very modern
the hallways &staircase are too dark
Fantastic Staff and a great location.
Great central location and right next to tram. Very friendly staff
Rooms have good protection from city noise, cozy balcony
Breakfast is expensive
Good rooms - good location - nice staff - good value - clean
The hotel was situated very near the seashore, city center and old town.
The room was extremely small with thin walls. However, it seems typical for French city hotels. The decoration was dark and gloomy. Heating was working 110 % and could not be adjusted.
Friendly staff, excellent location, good breakfast.
Rather dated interior (but in keeping with the style of the hotel), could do with a lick of paint and some new carpets. Elevator starts on first floor.
Staff were friendly, hotel room was clean and comfortable. Location was central and it was a short walk away from attractions.
Room was slightly small
Location and helpful staff. We arrived late night and reception was friendly. Good value for money for purpose of short overnight stay.
Wifi didn't work at all times, although carpets and bedding were clean it was old and worn out.
Front desk staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay with recommendations of restaurants and sights. Although close to centre it was fairly quiet location.
The staff was really kind. The central position, right behind Galeries Lafayette and Place Massena was perfect for going anywhere in Nice, and is also a "safe" area (as opposed to the area around the train station).
Bad smell in the room, in fact the cleaning lady did leave the window open all the time but due to all the noise from the street sleeping with the window open was not an option. Dirty and stained old carpet on the floor. Hairs from previous guests in the shower.. Very simple doors and locks to the rooms, so didn't feel very sicure. The street is very noisy late in the night (at least on Friday and Saturday), and the entire building shakes every time a buss passes by.
Location and cost
The smallest shower I have ever seen! But you get what you pay for.......
The staff was very helpful. They helped carry my suitcases up the stairs and provided information (restaurants, schedules, etc.) to make our stay in Nice more pleasant. When the windows were closed the room was quiet and made for a good night's sleep!
The breakfast was the best of our trip - croissants were perfect. New coffee machine so we got to try it first and it was great. I'd come again just for the breakfast! Also was quiet - the windows were, what I would call - double glazed - as soon as you shut the windows you hear nothing! Also the tv had a maximum level for volume which was great - no noisy tv's bothering others.
Receptionist interrupted us while we were asking a question thinking she knew what we were going to ask - it wasn't and we had to wait till she had finished what she was saying to re-ask the question. I found her a bit abrupt. Bathroom was pokey - I think a glass door between shower and toilet would be better - the shower curtain just clings to you!
good value for money good location in the center of Nice, but not at the most expensive spot
perhaps the quality of the room (decoration, size, etc.) could be better, but well, this is also the reason why this remains payable.
good hotel for a couple of nights, staf was very friendly !
Staff were excellent- the hotel needs a little paint and new carpets.
good price for very good location
A few min walk to place Massena, close to the center. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning present. Good value for the price paid.
Could use some renovation overall. Reception is on the first floor and you have to take the stairs to get there. But after there is an elevator
Rooms are nicely furnished. They're a bit small, but that's reflected in the fairly modest prices. Hostess was very nice and gave me a free room upgrade. Very convenient location--five minutes' walk to Promenade des Anglais, Old Town, Promenade de Paillon, etc. 10-15 minute walk from Nice train station. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a coue nights without blowing my budget.
My only real complaint is noise from the street--the hotel is on a fairly busy road and close to the main tram thoroughfare. However, the noise is much less of a problem on the higher floors (my room on the 2nd floor was noisy enough to make sleep fitful, but I barely noticed any noise when I moved to the 4th floor).
- Location - Calm and quiet, especially considering the location - Good air conditioning - Price - Attention to my request (for a twin room for me and my son rather than a double) - Free wifi - Small sitting room (salon) available to guests
- The lift starts on the First Floor, so if you have a heavy bag, you must heave it up a flight of stairs! - The wifi didn't work on my devices in the room itself - I had to go to Reception to use it. - The breakfast coffee was awful!
