Noisy room as it was above a bar! We were on the 4th floor! Pity the people on the lower floors!
Good value hotel in a great location. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.
The croissants and coffee at breakfast were not of a standard you would expect in France.
Loved the fact that it was so close to everything! The beach, the old town, shops, restaurants, you name it! Very nice staff, very helpful.
I liked the location. The hotel was 5 minutes walking from anything you would want: old town, or the beach. There is an option to have breakfast at the hotel. There is AC, wifi, and a tv in the rooms. Also, there is a hairdryer and they give you new towels. The staff is very friendly.
It's a 2 star hotel, so you can't expect the rooms to be like a 5 star. Walls might be a little cracked or dirty.
The hotel is at the center of the city. Near the beach, the old city, the train station Friendly staff Good brekfast
Some noise from the street but at night it is rather quite
Location, staff attention, free internet
smell of the room
is an old hotel, lack of facilitates, small rooms
Location breakfast bathroom bed air conditioning friendly staff
occasionally a bit noisy at night
Location was very god.
Family room was okay but the bathroom was incredible small.
Excellent Location, very central. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
A nice hotel near Massena plaza.
The hotel is in easy walking distance from the old town, the Cours Saleya, and the Promenade des Anglais.
M. Ahmed, at the reception, summarily declined to respect the verbal assurance we had had from the management that we could have a continental breakfast served in our room (as we had enjoyed every morning in all our annual weeklong stays at this hotel). The rest of the staff were very pleasant, but having to get ourselves together for a buffet breakfast is a deal-breaker for us, and so we will probably not stay again at the Verdun.
Nice staff. Clean rooms. Within walking distance from beach, old town, shops, public car park.
Hughes at reception was a gentleman and very helpful and funny. Rooms clean and comfortable and quiet, considering location is central. I will definately stay again.
The staff was great and it is close to the train station.
It was right on the verge of a sketchy location. There were homeless people sleeping near the hotel and it is dark to get to at night. I was traveling alone so I felt a bit nervous walking back at night.
I liked location and very helpful staf, Aline made us feel looked after, towels changed every day, rooms cleaned daily and good conditioner in the room
I think €10 for breakfast is too expensive. It will be nice to have a kettle in the room as well.
Stuff is very nice. Toilets are renovated and new.
Rooms are small. The elevator is not from the 1st floor. Guests have to climb about 30 steps with their luggages.
Location, helpful reception.
Very old facilities, had to climb up a flight of stairs to enter the hotel - no lift. Reception people helped us carry our suitcase up and down. Nevertheless it was rather discouraging having to use the stairs in order to enter the hotel. . After the entrance - first floor- there was a lift.Towels and bedsheets were worn-out.
Staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is very well located.
Due to it's central location, it was a bit noisy outside.
The staff were helpful and accommodating. Good location to the old town and short walk to the beach and shops.
The room was small and not overly clean. Being so central you also do have to put up with a bit of street noise but that is the trade off for being so central.
Great central location we never used public transport as we could walk to the places of interest to us
Location Good soundproofing
Even though the rooms have a/c, some of them don't work properly and just blow out warm air, and you can't open a window because it's very noisy outside. Won't go back there because of this, they didn't fix it, had no spare rooms so we just had to put up with it.
Decor was a bit dated.
Close to main area of Nice.
Bathroom small, but not an issue, but it was hard to keep shower curtain in place so water didn't go everywhere.
