Our priority for this visit was a quiet hotel near the centre, secure parking for the car, affordable and clean. Location brilliant. We chose the easy option of a 2 minute walk to the tram stop, which was just then 2 stops from the city centre. The trams run right outside the hotel and it is a busy noisy road but the double glazing was brilliant and made the room very quiet indeed (our room was at the front of the hotel). There are also shutters on the windows as well. We reserved a parking space and this was ready for us in the underground garage - see the negative comment for a bit of advice about this. The inclusive price we paid for the room and breakfast was very good value for a city centre. The room and hotel was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfy - it was two singles pushed together but we found this is typical in a lot of European hotels and made the bed bigger than a typical double. The breakfast was a very nice continental breakfast with a choice of cheese, meats, breads, croissants, fresh fruit salad etc. although the only choice of eggs were boiled. There is a small lift - the fact that it is small is not an issue, we were just grateful to find a lift as we have stayed in other hotels in European cities that don't have them. The bathroom was separate from the toilet but we didn't find this an issue and as we discovered in other hotels it isn't that unusual - see the negative comment for a bit of advice about this. The dining room was lovely, it was on the first floor and overlooked the foyer. A lovely hotel

The first thing to say is that this is a lovely hotel and we would definitely stay here again. Just two points to make you aware of. You have to cross the tram tracks to get into the garage. Not a particular issue but just something to be aware of if you arrive towards midnight like us as they are still running! We have a standard 7 seater mpv, if you have anything bigger you might want to check if it will fit in the garage as it is not large - and put your aerial down as the roof is low. There are only about 3 spaces on each level and the ramp down beyond the ground floor is extremely steep and tight. I nearly burnt the clutch out trying to manoeuvre and turn the corner to get up it! Ask for a space directly opposite the ramp and then you will be able to get a run up at the ramp. There appears to be plenty of parking on roads around the hotel if you don't fancy the garage. Lovely large bathroom but the bath was strangely narrow and the bottom wasn't flat. The taps are on the side wall so you have to be careful when standing to have a shower that you don't hit your legs on the taps. I wouldn't recommend this bath for anyone who is a bit unstable on their feet - perhaps ask if they have any rooms with disabled facilities even if you wouldn't normally need these facilities. We couldn't get the WiFi to work, however it may well have been down as the receptionist couldn't get it to work on his own laptop either. The cost of the WiFi was removed from our bill without us asking.

Very near the old city centre of Strassbourg. Easy access by car. Weekend prices are attractive

Terrible view from our room.. Extractor fan not working in bathroom and previous occupant had been smoking in the bathroom so room smelled strongly of smoke.

We had a great holiday at Diana Dauphine. All staff were kind and the room was clean.

The parking was too small.

The heating in the room appeared to stop working in the middle of the night - it became very cold, especially for our small baby. Everything was great otherwise!

Spacious room; pleasant staff, good breakfast

This is a nice stylish hotel, close to the centre of town, with decent sized rooms. The breakfast is very good and the parking is safe and convenient. The internet works well but there is a modest charge.

The shower is in the bathtub in the room we had with only a very small glass panel to prevent the water from spraying the bathroom. Hard to shower without getting the floor wet. The room also has a slight smokey smell despite it being on a non-smoking floor.

For a European hotel the rooms were a decent size and soundproofed. The breakfast offered again in comparison to many I have had in France faired well.

Access to the parking bays is extremely tight, for small saloons only, as was the lift, 4 people with no baggage is the max

Its location is good - close to tram stops, convenient for reaching city center and the train station. At the same time, if you want, you can also walk to/ from the city center.

They charge wi-fi!

Excellent breakfast. Very convenient for tram or walking.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. On my last morning I had to leave before the breakfast room openned. The night clerk made a pot of coffee and offered me some toast and butter. Very welcomed at 5:30 am!!

The room was very dark. I had some work I needed to do at the desk and I could not see my computer screen or my notes very clearly. In addition, the wifi connection is very weak.
