Wonderful countryside hotel with little chateau-like appearance and cosy interior, beautifully decorated rooms - we really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely return again! |

We found this hotel to be charming, set in the delightful medieval town of Chinon. Staff were extremely helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay again. Reasonable price by European standards. Unfortunately that does not necessarily provide excellent value for money for some overseas visitors. Parking could be free perhaps? |

The ambience, the excellent unobtrusive service, an inner city oasis that actually labels the plants/roses in the beautiful courtyard. And I haven't even mentioned the sumptious breakfast or jams yet. Comprehensive directions to the Hotel would have been helpful. |

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was family run and everybody was extremely helpful. The hotel used a lot of local produce and were very proud of the home made jam they presented at breakfast, which was excellent.I would certainly recommend this hotel and would hope to use it again. |

The hotel was quite close to the town centre The welcome we received form the owner (female) which was very unfriendly, in fact rude, and was all about reparking the car! Extremely officious. My husband was told, when he asked if she spoke French, " You are in France!" This really spoilt our stay |

Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast. we were offered a "special" room inside the main house instead of previously booked room in the garden house and we have accepted it without seeing it first. the room occured to be really special, having a true 1910s atmosphere, though far too depressing for my tastes. as it was Easter period we could not change the room. Other rooms are very nice (I stayed in the hotel before). |

The staff, location and history. We used it as a base to explore the Loire and it was perfect. All the add ons - we had extra for parking? extra for breakfast? 3 taxes we did not know about? We would prefer an all in price right from the start - a complete package and a price that allows you to budget. Matteresses were too thin and no duvets? Bigger towels - a proper bath towel and a face flannel would be welcomed. |

It is in a very quiet part of the town but still a stones throw from the restaurants and the Chateau. It is a shame that you cannot reserve the parking. |

Diderot has physical charm, is set in an interesting and beautiful area and has the wonderful ambiance that seems to be unique to good family run hotels. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful, the breakfast, with boutique jams, a delicious start to the day. |
