Being so close to the station and right next to the Canal du Midi were exactly what I wanted for my visit. I cycled from the door of the hotel, down the canal, all the way to the Mediterranean, and got the train back. The breakfast room is very pleasant, looking out onto a leafy garden - but the breakfast itself wasn't up to much.

The staff are so friendly when we come to the city for the first time. She gives us good suggestions about going around the city and always smiles when answering our questions. The rooms are clean and filled with the atmosphere of relaxation. Recommend to stay here when visiting Toulouse.

The staff were very good and provided a recommendation for a great restaurant about a 10 minute walk from hotel. Breakfast was basic, but OK. Secure car park was free, albeit a little tight to get into. Unfortunately, the rooms were very basic, with basic bedding & plastic mattress covers! There was also quite a lot of noise from outside & the bar next door. Booked this hotel based on the reviews, but it didn't live up to them!

Nothing Disappointed and never recommend to stay there. Because of our train delayed, we arrive to hotel very late. Fat night porter eat something with terrible smell at his desk (very dirty) when we came in. During a lot of time he tried to find our booking (I gave him Nr and pin) and after that he told that bookingcom did not send it, but he could offer a room for us, and he'll make breakfast (No way! Only Room! We insist). Finally he said that elevator is broken. Honestly if we be not so late and tied, we'll never stay there. We had 2 big heavy suitcases so it was not fun. Next evening his colleague promised to help us to move down, when we leave, but same porter next morning impolitely declined to do it.

The room was small but adequate for our short stay. Wifi signal was very good. The beds were very comfortable. Reception staff had excellent english & were able to give tourist information etc they also provided a city map which was very handy. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the railway station, just across the road, perfect! The bathroom was a good size with a separate wc which is unusual in hotels. We chose to have the continental breakfast & it was lovely, with an early starting time too which suited our train departure time. There were no english speaking tv channels. No fridge or kettle.

Very nice and serviceminded staff, had not expected that at a budget hotel close to the railway station! Bed was of high quality, silent room and quite dark - so you get a good night's sleep! Outdated elevator and not very practical staircase, but ok for the price.

Promises a clean and comfortable stay and it delivers exactly that. Staff at reception very friendly. 15 mins from centre and from Danu Irish Pub (Rugby mecca). Very near main Rail Station (Matabiau) As you would expect for a hotel within a few hundred metres of the rail station, there can be some "night life" on the street. Might be off- putting for the solo traveller, but we had no problems.

This was the second time our group stayed in Hotel d'Orsay and we were not disappointed! Reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is central so we parked up the car for the few days and walked! Landmark sites are perhaps 10-15 minutes walk away (eg Place du Capital). We have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel. We ourselves will be delighted to use it when we are next in Toulouse.

Good value for money in general, though we had some problems (see below). The young guy at reception was very helpful When we checked-in we didn't notice the a/c didn't work. So when after our dinner we went back to sleep and we felt a bit cold. We tried to turn on the a/c but didn't work. I tried to call reception but telephone didn't work! I went downstairs and there was an older guy trying to fix something with a central console panel for all a/c in the hotel. Our a/c seem to have a problem. He was just keep saying "I can't understand, it doesn't work". Yeah, I know it didn't work!!! I wanted a solution! No offer to move to another room. Finally we got an extra blanket but still it's the most rude behavior I've seen. I also asked to speak to the manager next morning which never happened. Very bad experience for me. I don't expect any Hilton's luxury, but I think asking for heating in November (10c outside) isn't so demanding request!!

Breakfast buffet better than I expected for price - excellent muesli and good coffee from machine. "Eau Chaud" wasnt hot enough to make good tea though, unless you like it lukewarm. Friendly helpful receptionists who speak good English. Wifi works well and there is a desk. Room is a good size if a rather basic and bland. Tv has only French channels - a big debit for me as I like to keep up with the news. Shower (over bath) is good but there is no screen or even a curtain so water splashes all over floor and vanity area and in winter its quite cold and not comfortable unless you keep moving which splashes water....(replay). Also only one towel each and that not a big one. The lift has a very simple "call" button - it doesnt have a memory - you have to wait until the red light goes which means nobody is using the lift and then react very quickly or someone else will get it and you have to wait till they are finished..!! Having said all that I would still recommend this hotel given the price.

It is a convenient location for the train station and rental cars. A very seedy part of Toulouse. The hotel needs to upgrade its rooms.

The extremely helpful and very pleasant staff. The ability to leave a bag behind for (almost) 5 weeks and know it will be there on my return. The location was perfect for the train and bus as well as being within walking distance of sightseeing, decent cafes and shops. The canals were nice to walk on as well.

Reception staff were very efficient and helpful. Easy walk into the city. Plenty of reasonable restaurants within walking distance. Parking was convenient and appeared safe. Rooms were clean. Continental breakfast was adequate. Room was quite small. Hotel on the fringe of a "Red light" district and so at night we had to be wary of which streets we walked through to return to the hotel. The shower had no screen or curtains so it was difficult not to get water on the bathroom floor when having a shower.

Very welcoming staff (English speaking) even late at night. Clean, comfortable (smallish) room. Garden facing room was quiet and didn't hear any noise from other rooms. No frills and all the better for it. Fresh bread and reasonable choice self-service breakfast in pleasant garden room with as much coffee juice etc.as you like. Brilliant location for the train station by attractive canal and only a short walk to the centre of town. Ideal for short stay. Thank you Hotel D'Orsay. No complaints

The front desk staff on each shift were extremely helpful and very nice. They put up with our very bad French and spoke English well. The room was small but extremely clean with a good shower/bath and plenty of hot water. The air conditioning worked well and it was quiet on the "garden" side. The hotel is right across from the train station which is very convenient- not only for the train but also for the airport shuttle which dropped us off right across the street upon our arrival. Given that it is in across from the train station it is in a not-so-great neighborhood but we never felt unsafe as two women. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We stayed 3 nights and chose to stay there again for an overnight when we had to come through Toulouse the following week on our way home. We recommend it!
