The staff was helpful. They spoke English which was a plus. The location was good. The hotel rooms seemed a little tired looking. The reception area and restuarant did not. You have to remember that you are in a town in France that is hundreds on years old!

The hotel was comfortable with one exception- a very important one- the bed was WORN OUT! The hotel was in a wonderful location in town, the staff polite and efficient, the room a decent size (European standards) and the parking close by. The beds need to be replaced- ours had such a dip in the middle that it was hard not to roll into the middle of the bed. A nice addition would be a hot pot or kettle in the room.

We were suprised by how large the room and the bathroom were. It is a nice simple place to stay, very clean room, bathroom, and linens. We felt safe and comfortable.

Convenient location for tourist sites and provided city centre parking facility. Quiet. Room ok for one night, but hardly any storage space and no shelf or anywhere to put anything at all in the bathroom. Room decor a bit 'tired' looking.

Needed updating. No shower curtain or shower guard. Why not? Our room felt like we were in the attic.

Comfortable room, clean and very relaxing. Staff were pleasant and the facilities were good. Smokers discarded their butts at the rear door which made it unpleasant to enter this way from the car park.

Double bed was smaller, more narrow than a standard double. Also, poor insulation between rooms-could hear everything going on in adjoining rooms.

Good hotel, but like a lot of hotels in France they seem to be overpriced, (Is this due to the exchange rate we British get?). Car park charges, the way some people parked in the car park.

It's central location in wonderful town. The room was basic: Similar to a travel lodge at more than twice the price. The staff were not welcoming or friendly and certainly not what you would expect from a 3* hotel.

This is a hotel to use when you are on a budget, and you need something clean--also it is close to the main street of the town. The bed had a horrible sag in the middle--making it very difficult for my husband and I to sleep. Beds were the size of American full size (about six inches less in width than an American size queen). ...So the small bed combined with the sag made ofr a very poor night's sleep. Also, the weather was warm enough to need the windows, but the street noise of traffic going by was so unbelievably loud, that we had to sleep with the windows closed. The decor and the bathroom were nice enough, but after a full day of sightseeing, I really needed a good night's sleep, and I was exhausted the next morning.

“What a super find! We've visited the area before, but this is a new favorite. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The location is only a few blocks from train station and the stores downtown. Lots of options for eating/shopping. We used it as a "headquarters" to view all of Normandy, returning each night. The rooms were clean and large. I noticed that a tour operator also was using it for his 8 clients--that speaks well. We'll be back!” James, Clarks Grove, Minnesota |
