The hotel was well situated we like to walk so it was perfect. The staff were helpfull and the food a breakfast was very good. Overall a nice hotel we enjoyed our stay. As canadians we like to have face clothes to wash with, not a major problem. |

Location is good & is near to many shops & restaurants. Parking is available at the hotel, but not inexpensive. Staff was friendly & helpful. The only disappointment was that our "suite" didn't have a mini bar to keep a bottle of wine chilled, but the staff was able to store our wine in the refrigerator at the hotel, so it all worked out fine. Seemed more like a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. |

The hotel was charming. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. A shower curtain would have been nice. |

A good location, with a comfortable quiet room. Everything was in walking distance of the hotel and parking space is provided. We found the staff all strangely impersonal and at times downright unfriendly. It made an otherwise happy stay one where we couldn't wait to leave the hotel. A pity! |

Ideal location for all area's of Normandys sightseeing, ie:World War 11 landings ect. Staff were friendly and rooms were basic but ok The bar was poorly stocked, no basic spirits ie: Gin, Rum, Vodka, Also no tea making facilities in room. |

It was central to the town of Bayeux and the bed was comfortable. The staff were fine for the most part but only some of them spoke English so it was difficult to communicate any issues Restaurant with 'Gourmet' menus so we booked dinner on the 2nd night. My starter of escargot was ok, my partners beef carpaccio was tasteless. For main course my seafood plate had overcooked tagliatelle and 3 types of fish - salmon, cod and john dory - john dory overcooked and inedible. My partner's main was meant to be John Dory in a bowl with basilico covered with pastry and cooked in the oven.Waitress got the order mixed up and brought a John Dory fillet on a bed of overcooked tagliatelle - When the waitress went back into the kitchen we heard someone yelling at her - 10 min later received food we returned scraped back into a bowl and cooked again with pastry on top - burnt tag and John Dory - no apologies or comment. |

It was in a Central Location parking available The female staff were quite rude and made us feel quite uncomfortable, this was also noted by three other couples that we met there. It was stated that there was bar service available but it was extremely hard to get someone to serve us. I think it was exhorbitant to pay EU11.00 for a bowl of cereal |

Location is great, and my room was very clean and comfy. But no tea or coffee in the room..this is 2009!! I just wish the staff would smile a little more.A smile and a hello can make such a difference to a guest. At the end of the day I spent over £400 for my 3 nights. Guests should be made to feel like guests, and are actually made to feel welcome. It's not rocket science is it? |

Friendly multi language staff, very clean and well maintained hotel. Very good value for your money. Easy access to the Normandy beaches and surrounding area. Restaurant was not bad and convenient for breakfast but a bit pricey for what you got. Parking was extra cost which it did not need to be. Lots of stairs if you were disabled it could be a problem but there was an elevator to access some rooms |

Staff was most helpful with all or questions. One night they even opened the closed bar for us. Food and wine were also good. Like many old european hotels there are always steps that the luggage needs to be hauled up even after taking the lift. |

Location is good - which is principal reason we chose it. Cleanliness - the toilet bowl was not clean. Unacceptable! Rooms are adversised as "Deluxe" - We should have asked "Deluxe when compared to what?" Room was supposed to be "spacious", with the capability to add max of two stow-away beds, with cost of course. No way could one, let alone two, bed would have been appropriate! Due to this misleading advertisement, causing us to book a second room. |

Spacious well appointed room (triple), 24h desk, nice restaurant. Central position for Bayeux Additional costs for breakfast & parking makes it quite expensive - but we knew that from the booking. Would have liked kettle in room for tea/ coffee! |
