Score from 220 reviews Excellent
Large room, nicely decorated, for three. Good location.
Room was very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were good.
Wifi only good at reception but that area was comfortable, so not really an issue
Lack of amenities, no bidet & toilette was In a separate room. Strange. Very old building needed updating
Very Large and comfortable room, close to the main areas of the town. Quiet and restful stay.
Great location and the staff was friendly. Room was quiet.
The room really needs updating. The furnishings were very tired as well as the towels, hair dryer, carpet etc.
Good location Charge for one night reasonable
Very dark No instruction on use of TV, lighting, WiF Must walk around a corner from WC to sink in bathroom Bed poor Restaurant much more expensive than room
We loved this city, we would definitely stay again. There was so much charm to it all.
The late night desk clerk was completely lovely and this review should not impact her. She spoke no English but could write in it and was sweet and helpful.
Evening desk clerk was rude, abrupt and unhelpful. We arrived a little after 9:30 pm -- she could not direct us to an open restaurant (or anywhere), and there were restaurants open; while she identified that there was an elevator, she failed to say that there were steps up from the landing that wouldn't have been a big deal, except the upper hall was pitch dark, the lighting being on a timer from the time the switch (not findable in the dark) was pressed -- which gave you about 10 seconds to dash for your hotel door, dash back to hit the switch again, dash back to get your key in the door, to arrive inside a very basic, mediocre room -- no fan, no air flow. You could open the window onto a carpark, which was okay, but for the loud snoring of the hotel patron in the next room who also had his window open. Wifi only worked sporadically at best. When we returned from the restaurant we found on our own, we found the clerk had also failed to mention that the front doors locked and there was a code to reenter, which we didn't have, and no night bell that we saw to ring. Our phones were dead, and while we stood there in indecision for about 5 minutes, not wanting to wake anyone as it was late and it's a very quiet town, the lovely late night clerk passed by and let us in. We did not stay for breakfast (separate charge) - the dining room looked clean but depressing.
excellent location and parking
it was very hot. the bar was not staffed
The carpet in the room smelled of urine and it was difficult to sleep because of the smell. Also, when we asked the receptionist to fix the Wi-Fi she replied "don't worry about it, you are on vacation. You can do other things." I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Central location with parking facilities.Within easy walking distance of places of interest.
Location & parking.
Small cramped rooms. Wi-fi pretty useless. Nowhere in bathroom to put anything!
Rooms were clean and the bed was firm. Nice high ceilings. Bathroom was clean and comfortable.
It was an average room, no extras. But nice enough. Parking was very nice and close.
They were nice enough to put us in a room for 3 people. However the bathroom only had one hook to hang towels and the shower head was on the horizontal wall and no shower curtain. That meant that you had to place the shower sideways to avoid wetting the floor. Also there were only two hard chairs in the bedroom to sit on. The room was large enough to have a couple of lounge chairs. The TV only had french channels, no English programs, even news.
good size room
1. no USB on TV for charging phones or computer. 2. empty soap dispenser in shower
Staff was very willing to help us by making dinner reservations, communicating with our tour group and by providing directions. Location was good.
The room was very, very noisy at late hours. For example, we could hear other guests at 1:00am. If we weren't so exhausted from our travels, it would have been very difficult to sleep.
Good food nice staff
Badly marked car park
The breakfast was great! The location was perfect
I liked everything!
Old fashioned charming hotel central location
accommodating staff, great value, great location for Normandy trip, friendly service
Cold have used a little updating
I liked nothing but the very central location, otherwise the hotel is a ripoff and I am surprised it maintains 3 stars unless the rating was retained for decades without further inspection. The staff try their best but I would strongly recommend you avoid this hotel, either go for a proper 3 star or go for 2 or less stars but with higher reviews.
Everything but for the central location - I strongly advise you do not go to this hotel
Room was nice size and very clean, beds very comfortable.
Wish the restaurant had more items on the menu. We didn't eat there because of this so don't know the quality.
Excellent location with own off road parking (although you have to pay extra), comfortable beds, variety of breakfast buffet items, staff friendly and helpful.
Rooms not ready when we arrived, had to wait an hour. Facilities a bit sparse and decor faded and dated. Restaurant not really a family friendly menu.
very central for all museums amenities etc Pleasant surroundings and rooms. A very typically french luxury hotel
Paying 9 euros for hotel parking overnight when the hotel parking was empty and at end of season. Paying 15 euros per person for continental breakfast as opposed to it being inclusive
