Proximity to old town. Friendly management. Affordability.

Narrow stairs leading up second floor. Lack of elevator. Room had not been aired out prior to move-in.

You have to pay 1€/day for wi-fi connection. I would prefer to pay 1 euro more for the room and have free wi-fi

The location of this hotel is excellent, being in the next street to the main town center square in Poitiers, it is also within the pedestrian zone, so you need a code to get your car past the barriers to the hotel and its car park, which is secure. At Euro 57 it was very good value, even adding the 5 euro car park charge and 8 euro breakfast charge per person. The breakfast is very good and well worth the cost. The wi- fi internet at 1 euro per day was good value. Everything worked in this hotel, there was plenty of hot water, it was a very good size room, the bed was comfortable, and it was clean and fresh. There was no traffic noise to affect sleeping.

The whole hotel had a vintage feel about it, as though it had just been discovered in a time warp. This might be a bonus to some, but for those looking for a modern hotel with lifts etc, it might not be for you, I loved it and would certainly return. If you do visit please note there are about 10 hydraulic posts with codes to stop you getting in to the pedestrian area by car, the hotel will email you the code, but I could only find one exit, by the side of the 'pharmacie' which automatically lowered the barrier as you approached from the 'inside', and it was not signed, a friendly local pointed us in the right direction.

Our stay at Citótel was very pleasant and very friendly. I would certainly recommend the stay. The room and bathroom were spotless and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again without hesitation. Only next time, Overall, we were very pleased. G from Clare.

Trying to find it as a driver, a lot of one way systems that don't really allow you easy driving. Roads blocked off,. Alsl, I will ask for a room on a lower level as the stairs are a bit awkward trying to carry up luggage.

i stayed on third floor without lift for the baggage ,however we manage in bringing the stuff up with the help of the staff

The lovely staff, excellent breakfast and fab location. Great for a short stay! The church bells rang at 7am , a beautiful sound!

Most central location but beware that car access requires driving through old city narrow street and getting into a closed perimeter. From then on, you walk to the historical monuments or restaurants, no drinking issues!

Old building and interior, no elevator, one star facilities. However no unexpected surprises, you get what you pay for.

The location of this hotel was ideal for us. The staff were charming, friendly and helpful. The reception area is a French period piece - we loved it. When staying in France, we do not always have the petit dejeuner - but this was one of the best - with ample choice.

Our room decor was somewhat tired-looking and in need of an update. Be aware of the church bells on a Sunday morning (in close proximity to the back of the hotel).

Impossible d'accèder à l'hôtel après 21h, ce qui nécessite plusieurs trajets pour déposer les valises. Certes, un parking est très proche mais cela peut poser quelques difficultés pour des familles ayant des jeunes enfants ou pour les personnes âgées.

Très bon acceuil, la salle de bain est très grande et dispose d'une baignoire. Le lieu est charmant et convivial.

L'hotel n'est pas accessible en voiture en journée sans un code pour entrer dans la quartier pieton où il se situe. les places de stationnement sont toutes payantes

Salle de bains très petite -pas de savon dans les 2 distributeurs il a fallu réclamer - l'étagères proche du lavabo est prête à tomber et le porte serviette proche du lavabo également - le coffre fort ne fonctionne pas et le propriétaire de l'établissement semblait étonné !!! (c'est la première fois que cela lui est signalé!!)en tout cas il semble qu'il ne vérifie pas les chambres - Enfin un parking de trop de facturé !!!!!!!!

La falta de consideracion con el turista, en este caso, habiamos resevado una habitacion doble con dos camas ya que somos dos hombres que estavamos realizando un trabajo de tres dias en la ciudad, cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando vemos que la cama era solo una y de 1'40 de ancho, nos quejamos pero no hicieron ningun esfuerzo por solucionarlo,nos dijeron que cojieramos otra habitacion a parte

Le fait d 'avoir refait la chambre pendant notre absence à 10h 30 alors que nous repassions à 11h pour reprendre les bagages .

- la chambre donnait sur l'espace fumeur du bar : bruit jusqu'à 1 h du matin - la vieille fenêtre de la salle de douche fermait mal - salle de bain très vieillissante... - tarif du petit déjeuner trop élevé par rapport à la quantité consommée par des enfants.
