Great location for visiting one of the pretiest castles in the Loire. Chenonceaux ´s entrance is just less than 5 minutes walking. Perfect for the sound and lights visits at night. Also close to Tours, and Blois. The satff is very helpful and with a good mood.wifi is included in the price The restaurant is ok, maybe a little expensive for a continental breakfast. There is a bakery across the street and they serve good coffee and french bakery. Our shower did not have a curtain so the toilet was usually wet when we had to use it.

Secure parking (good when car is full of wine!). Free Wi-Fi. Restaurant on site but also very close to other restaurants. Easy walking distance to Chateau entrance. The Staff seemed a happy bunch of people. Put in hotel annexe which was around 200 metres from the car park. No shower curtain so impossible to keep bathroom dry. Old-fashioned and needed updating. Uncomfortable bed with rubber sheet on mattress and no mattress cover.

Nice open fire in the restaurant. Dinner up to scratch. Friendly staff. Bedroom was too hot and couldn't turn off the radiator - had to open the window which let in traffic noise.

Great location. Pretty scenery. Metres from fabulous chateau. One of the softest beds we had in France. Price was great. Restaurant was friendly but the food was so-so. Rooms were out-dated (but very clean.)

We really felt comfortable at this hotel. The staff was very nice. There is a garden with seating for the restaurant in the back and it was a great place to sit and read a book and enjoy the small pond a quiet. It was right next door to Chenonceau and across the street from a great little bakery. The food at dinner was good, too. We booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 3.

Location to the Chateau de Chenonceaux. They need a back door from the parking. Too far to go from parking to annex.

Great location, walking distance to Chenonceaux chateau. Good restaurant and friendly restaurant staff. Only charged half price breakfast for 4 year old - great. Comfy beds. Tired looking decor in room. No shower curtain and shower head shooted water out in two directions thus very tricky not to get whole bathroom wet. Rather harassed/grumpy woman on reception upon arrival!

Very kind was the staff, the accomodation was quite good, the room and the bath room were not little and both with windows, the position was perfect, the restaurant was good and not too expansive in respect of the neighbourhood, the breakfast was good as well. The room telephone was brocken but the staff manager made us call by her own portable. The parking is quite narrow and not always has been possible to park

We were a little apprehensive about Hostel du Roi because of the very low price compared with other local options. We had left it too late to get anything other than a really expensive set of rooms. In the event the hotel was perfect. Clean, located right next to Cenonceau, with parking and fine breakfast it suited our family perfectly. After all we were just staying en route for a night to break our journey and see the chateau. It's only crime is very dated decor but cleanliness made up for this.

Goedkoop hotel. Lekker! Een pottery vlak bij if you're into that.

Right around corner from Chateau Chenonceau, you can walk down the lane (driveway or through the woods next to car park to front door of chateau). Larger bathroom, with bidet. Moderate priced dinner entrees in lovely in or outdoor cafe. Helpful staff. limited menu items, but, all fairly good that we tried. Shower had no curtain and difficult to get in and out of tub to wash hair and not get water on the floor. the place needs updating, they have WiFi, but it is difficult to find spaces in hostel/hotel that have a strong signal. The upstairs lounge in the main building has no comfortable seating and old stuffed animals and dried flower arrangements that have been their since the 1970's! They need to improve their mattresses and bedding. No airconditioning; but cool at night if you open a window; watch out for birds and bats, especially bugs coming in.

The location is excellent, rooms are rustic and the ensuite bathroom had a small bath with shower but no shower screen. The rooms and the bathroom were spotless. We enjoyed our stay and ate at the hoten on two evenings. The food was ok but not French cuisine. The car park was secure and locked at night. Food ok but not excellent.
