Located 650 ft from the Luxembourg Gardens, the second largest public park in Paris, Hotel Excelsior Latin features 24-hour front desk and elegant, air-conditioned rooms and suites.
Score from 1193 reviews Very good
This Comfort hotel is on Paris’s left bank a 5-minute walk from the Luxembourg Gardens and the Panthéon. It features air-conditioned rooms and a 24-hour front desk. Internet access is available.
Score from 1042 reviews Good
Hôtel Albe Saint Michel is in a central location, in the heart of Paris’ Latin Quarter, by the Seine River. It is 5 minutes from Notre Dame Cathedral and the chic Saint-Germain-des-Prés district.
Score from 632 reviews Very good
In the lively Latin Quarter, this hotel offers elegant guest rooms equipped with a TV, some with a balcony. It is 120 yards from Cluny - La Sorbonne Metro and RER B Station.
Score from 839 reviews Very good
The location was really good, we could walk everythere. The room was quite big and the bed was comfortable. Shower was clean also, what is really important for me :) The staff was friendly and the room seemed to be sound proof, as it says in a hotel's description.
There were some noise from ventilation in a toilet. Also housekeepers missed some dust :) And it didnt look very nice, that while changed beddings and towels, they left everything on a staircase and in a coridor.
The hotel was very near to the charming Jardins du Luxembourg. A good menu for breakfast, bed was comfortable and the hotel was clean generally. Staff were helpful.
The interior, especially the decoration of the corridors and the bedrooms would benefit from some modernisation.
Room was quiet, clean and tidy. Gardens across the road were an ideal place to relax after day of sight seeing.
Didn't like having to reapply for wiFi access each day.
Location with an RER/ Metro station within 100 meters (though be warned no elevators/lifts to take you and you baggage in the down direction); good room size, relatively quiet and provided for all our needs very well. Staff were helpful, spoke good English and there were plenty of excellent, good- value restaurants within easy walking distance in the Sorbonne area. Will stay there again on our next trip to Paris.
The lift is challenging and really can only fit in one person and their checked-in luggage at a time.
Excellent location for Sorbonne and Luxembourg gardens, 1 min to the closest subway station, high-quality wi-fi, clean traditionally decorated room (although with signs of wear), comfortable bed. Facilities, although aged, are in good working condition. Good views if you ask for them. Good overall if you do not mind the size.
I'd expect a bigger room for the price of the standard double. It was comfortable enough for a solo business traveler with minimal luggage, but a couple might find it crowded to say the least. Arrived at midday but was asked to wait for 2 hours before they would let me check in. Low-quality toiletries. Ceiling needs some re-plastering.
Close to Luxembourg metro stop. Same libe that goes to CDG. Front staff was kind, eager and hospitable.
Wifi was patchy. My third night was over 300 euros which completely threw of any economic advantage from first two nights
Quite comfortable rooms for Europe. A few steps (literally) from direct metro line (rer) to airport and Gard du Nord. Good to great dining in the area. Walking distance to many of the places you will visit.
Slow, complicated internet access. Be aware if you need intensive communications.
We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights in Oct. The location was perfect as it was right near the RER B train line that offers direct transport to and from CDG airport. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We didn't have much contact with the staff as we were out of the hotel most of the time. However, everyone was friendly and helpful. I can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat at the hotel. There are so many cafés and brasseries to choose from. If you get the chance, eat dinner at Les Papilles. It is just down the street from the hotel. We had the most delicious 4 course dinner there. You need to make reservations a few weeks in advance. We look forward to returning to Hotel Elysa in the future.
Rooms are small but this is to be expected.
Small room but very typical of Paris and enough for the 2 of us. Very clean. Comfy bed.
Pricey but I guess standard for Paris.
Great location by the Luxembourg gardens, and a reasonably well appointed hotel for the price
BUT, wifi incredibily difficult to use, and no airconditioning!!! Actually there was air-conditiong, but it had not worked for sometime. And comments that the technician would be in tomorrow an obvious sop! I don't think the air-conditioning will ever work.
Loved the area of the Luxemberg Gardens. Very nice area (although not centered and you should know that if you want this Hotel - we knew that and preffered "romantic" over "centered". The room was great with a view to the Eifel Tower. Friendly Staff that speaks english. They helped us out a couple times with directions, electricity connector and even gave us a recommendation to a good restaurant nearby.
Wifi will disconnect constantly and when you want to reconnect you have to fill out an arrogating popup form. Although I paid for a "superior" room, the room was very small. I expected a way bigger room for the money I paid.
The park location was good
We were giving a ground floor room directly onto the road and bus stop hen we arrived at 5pm and were told there were no other rooms available. We asked to be moved and the second night were given a room on the 6th floor which was much better. Both were not really worth the 188 euro room only cost but the first night should have been discounted. As we had prepaid we had not real option but to stay.
Close to public transport (underground), cafes and near the gardens.
room was good. views great. i was happy there.
staff is a little stuffy, strange. i don't like breakfast in a cellar.
We wanted to spend our last night in the centre of Paris rather than a hotel near the Airport. Hotel E-L was what we wanted. The bed was very comfortable and there was a lift. We could also make ourselves a cup od tea in our room.
Internet access was complicated and didn't always work.
The location being really good for getting to visit the attractions with good transport just around the corner.
Excessive cost of having an alcoholic drink.
Location, safety, cleaningness,
A little bit overpriced
Helpful staff Clean
Location was perfect, very clean, welcoming and helpful staff. Diverse breakfast and soundproofed rooms are a definite plus.
Good location, nice area, clean, quiet (room 502), quality cot bed provided for our toddler, bath also helpful, would stay again
Wifi was pretty bad - kept dropping out, lift was pretty slow for 5th floor access but not unexpected for this building type
first we were not satisfied with our room, but they really tried and found another solution which was very good for us. breakfast is really Quality!
Great location; roomy bathroom balcony that had a view of eiffel tower friendliness of staff and willingness to help with any question close to metros Luxembourg gardens over the road Would be happy to stay again
Was the last stop on our city tour of Europe and we were tired. The young man on reception was very friendly and very helpful. Good information on transport and getting about and good local restaurants. One of our rooms was a family room with a double and a single bed in it. There was plenty of room and the bathroom was well stocked and clean. The hotel is ideally located for the Luxembourg Park which is beautiful and also NDam and the art museums.
