Grand Hotel Francais is not in the tourist center of Paris, however any point in the city can be reached within 30 minutes via the fabulous Paris Metro system. The hotel manager is personable, knowledgeable, helpful and very willing to make his guests at home. We stayed four nights before our Baltic Cruise and honestly can say our Paris prelude was the highlight of our three weeks in Europe! The room was comfortable and complete with safe and delightful bathroom amenities. The breakfast was very nice and gave us a good start to our touring days. Mr. Zyad and his staff gave outstanding directions and recommendations for dinner. I hope to return to Paris and will definitely stay at the Grand Hotel Francais! Delightful!!!

Enjoyed the location and the boutique style of hotel. The staff were most helpful and went out of their way to assist, even corrected our atrocious French. The hotel epitomised French hospitality and was exactly what we were looking for in Paris.

I loved our stay at the Grand Hotel Francais. Every staff is very friendly, very nice and very helpful. The room was cleaned everyday with supply of new, clean towels everyday. Breakfast was fantastic and the lady who was serving the breakfast was always pleasant. It was very clean which I am always looking for in a hotel. The location is also not bad as it was near the metro and it was not very far from everything. With the free Wifi connection, it was easy to search by internet to find the tourist sites in Paris. It was also a quiet area and you feel safe. There were many stores and restaurants around the hotel. My daughter & I had a terrific time. Thank you very much to the wonderful staff of Grand Hotel Francais.

Lovely hotel staff, very friendly helpful and knowledgeable (and they are not afraid to speak English too). Hotel was quite nice and quiet, set in a nice quieter area of centre of Paris away from the main hustle and bustle, but still within short walking distance of many bars, cafe's, restaurants and shops, and also close to main the main metro (Nation a particularly good stop 5 mins walk away) and bus links to that will take you to all the main places to see in Paris. Hotel was very clean, quite modern, and despite being small it had all the amenities you'd want from the type of hotel for a city break, including a lovely comfortable bed after a long day. Breakfast was good (not many seem to offer in Paris), always well stocked with typical continental type things. Also quite reasonably priced hotel compared to many others I looked at. Be wary if you don't like compact rooms - I knew what to expect - and you have to remember that this is Paris and space is at a premium. Apart from that, nothing. Oh - the lift is a bit slow - lol!

The room (#62) was very comfortable and quiet. It was very close to the Nation metro station which provided easy access to the Paris sites. The rate we got through Bookings.com was far below the room rate posted.

We thought the hotel was excellent and good value for money. Our room was recently renovated, spotlessly clean and quiet at night. The breakfast was one of the best we had in France and a great variety, including fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurt. The staff were very friendly and most helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I requested a quiet room which was exactly what I got - not a sound all night (in my experience unusual for a Parisan hotel). The bed itself was also very comfortable. Hotel well located for metro/bus lines, and there are several fine cafes and restaurants close by. Overall we were really pleased and feel that we got good value - no hesitation in recommending The Grand Hotel Francais. Only negative aspect of our stay was that there was sometimes a slight smell from the bathroom drain.

The hotel was very close to a main metro hub, whcih means that the main attractions in the city are easily accessible, as well as one line straight to DisneyLand. In addition the staff were incredibly helpful - I would say they went out of their way to help up. The bathroom did not have a bath (shower was also a bit small). The surrounding area is safe but a bit slummy when compared to central Paris. Having said this the disadvantages are a very small price to pay for the incredible value for money - I found it to be much cheaper than other comparibly star hotels.

The friendly service The gentleman at the front desk was super in handling our complaint of the smoke smell in our room. By the time we returned from the evening out, it was much better. My room was smoked in even though it's a non-smoking hotel but see above, they were great about handling it.

The staff at the Grand Hotel Francais went out of their way to make us feel welcome when we arrived. The check-in was smooth and effortless. We were provided with a map of Paris and also upgraded to a priviledge room. The hotel is only a short walk from two metros Only small negative is at breakfast the tables are laid up for groups of four people. Most guests were couples so it meant sitting with another couple for breakfast. But this wouldn't put us off rebooking.

Very clean rooms. Staff members were very courteous and helpful. I had goofed up my booking and they resolved my issue with absolute patience and cooperation by moving me to a affiliate location. We stayed at Grand Francais Dore instead. Here breakfast was included which was a bonus when we had to start our day early.

We had an impulse Paris weekend and chose this hotel on the basis of price and very late availability. It more than exceeded our expectations. Francais is classy, spotlessly clean and has very warm, friendly and helpful service - to the degree of temporarily subsidizing our taxi fare when we did not have any french change to pay the fare to the driver. They also recommended an excellent local restaurant. It's a little way from the absolute centre and better for it. A 20 mins walk takes you to the seine and there are excellent shops and markets nearby. Very, very good value - highly recommended.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. A short walk to Nation Station and only 10-20mins to most of the sites in Paris by metro. The bathrooms were big, stylish, very clean and the shower was amazing! The lift was very small and extremely slow. There was a staircase which was very uneven with narrow stairs. Difficult place to stay with large suitcases as rooms are quite small, but considered quite big for Paris.

Stayed for 5 days. The rooms looked exactly like the hotels website. Nicolas and Zaid on the front desk were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is near 2 metro stations rue des boulets and the larger nation in the 11th Arrondissement. The entire staff helped make our stay very enjoyable and I highly recommend the hotel. Everything was great.

Professional & helpful hotel staff. Very comfortable bed and nice shower in the bathroom. Slippers provided for free. Walking distance to "Nation" centre which is a friendly neighbourhood with everything u need. Located at "Boulets","Nation" metros which are quite far away from major attraction in Paris. Room is quite small and not much room to 'walk' around and place luggage. But this is what Paris hotels are !

Although it wasn't right in the centre of Paris, the location was really good, very close to the metro. The bed was really comfortable. The room was small. The breakfast room was in the basement which made it feel quite stuffy.
