Staff were excellent. Very nice breakfast
First and foremost, the staff was superb, especially the manager. The room was perfect with good a/c and the breakfast was perfect. Will definitely stay there again.
Lovely views, Clean contemporary styled room, really friendly and accommodating staff
Eur 50 from GDC to hotel, room clean and with good facility, good service of reception.
Not close to tourist areas, need go by public transportation.
The hotel room was small, but comfortable and very clean. The shower was wonderful! The staff was accommodating and the elevator was good size.
My only complaint is that the hotel was too far away from the places we wanted to spend our time.. Nations metro, with 3 lines, was a couple of blocks away, but I prefer to stay where you can step outside your hotel and be in the middle of the action. If that doesn't matter to you, this is a great little hotel.
Great location adjacent to the Metro, good value for money, very helpful and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, although a little small (but typical for most large European cities).
Celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary in Paris while staying at Grand Hotel Francais can only be described as fantastic. On arriving very early AM hours, we were warmly greeted by Zyad the Hotel Manger and had a complimentary breakfast, before sightseeing and waiting for our room to be ready. We returned to find our room had been upgraded, and a complimentary bottle of wine, two glasses and Anniversary congratulation letter on our bed. (Photo attached). We were so grateful for such a thoughtful gesture. The promotion photos for the hotel are real world photos, and are complimented by very friendly, helpful and courteous staff, especially Vanessa and Jeggatas, (thank you both). The breakfast restaurant provides a great selection whatever your requirements are, and the staff are outstanding. Adding to this the complimentary laundry service, great beds and excellent night’s sleep, just makes this ‘the place to stay’ in Paris. There are two Metro stations close by, and a good choice of restaurants to choose from. For a true Parisian experience this is certainly ‘The Place to Stay’, and the only place we will be staying at on our next Paris visit.
Location, whilst off the mainstream tourist track, is ideally located on a leafy boulevard very close to a major metro station. This means getting to major attractions very easy. Can't speak highly enough about the management. Family owned with the owner on the front desk providing excellent information about local restaurants etc. have stayed twice and will again.
The staff was very welcoming ands helpful
Location for us - travel from Gare de Lyon, and good selection of neighbourhood (not tourist) bars and restaurants in the walk to Bastille; Quiet and friendly hotel, good welcome from staff;
The value. The friendliness. The great location.
Staff - so friendly and helpful Location - near to metro, shops & restaurants Room - clean and comfortable En-suite - modern and worked well
Breakfast - would like more choice of teas and fresh baked bread rather than sliced
Staff went out of their way to be helpful and spoke great English but patiently listened to my dodgy French. Good choice of breakfast options. Were upgraded from "Superior" to to "Privilege" room, which was more spacious than normal Paris standards. Good restaurants nearby, and easy access to the Metro if necessary.
Traffic noise - the hotel faces a very busy road and traffic can be heard well into the early hours. We slept ok, but it would be better if the windows were more soundproof.
Spacious of room and natural light. Extras provided water, slippers etc
Very well equipped bathroom but rather cramped. Breakfast rather pricey for what was on offer
We had the standard room which is daily small but comfortable and certainly a good value. The first night the comforter was too heavy but the staff made sure we had what we wanted for the rest of our stay. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it anyone traveling to Paris. I do not sleep well when I travel and I slept great.
Staff were excellent Very clean Good location
Very friendly and welcoming staff - we'd requested a quiet room and were even upgraded to a larger double room at the back, which was very quiet. Very clean hotel, lovely location (close to Nation metro station), excellent facilities - all in all, a great hotel for short breaks in Paris.
Location was ok once you had mastered the underground. Room was compact clean and a very good shower
The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Easy access to the Metro Provision of wine and chocolates was a nice added touch In room wifi worked well Quiet Air conditioned Full bathroom Quaint All the staff with the exception of the manager were kind, helpful and very professional Within walking distance to the Morais, Bastille Square and Place de Nation
The manager was rude to us when we arrived because he was upset with a another couple who had nothing to do with us. He yelled at us when my husband requested an early check in. He did, however, once he calmed down, make us coffee, allow the early check in and said that he upgraded our room (at no extra charge) to accommodate our one large suitcase. He was more respectful to us for the remainder of our five day stay.
We just can't go past this hotel when travelling to France which we do each year. We have never been persuaded to go elsewhere. There is nothing more comforting after a long trip (from Australia) to find a clean, spacious room with very comfortable bed and crisp white linen and most importantly at an affordable price (Paris is an expensive city). We are always welcomed warmly. The staff and particularly the proprietor are exceptionally attentive. Breakfast is very good and the location - on a lovely boulevard in the fabulous 11th arrondissement between to Metro stations what more could you ask.
Great staff, really nice room on the sixth floor with balcony, great help for getting around the city. Really close to metro
Good location near Nation and RER/Metro stations Good advice on local but excellent restaurants Clean room, nice bathroom and facilities; I had a quiet room facing side street. Good value for money and room not too pokey given this.
Breakfast is only available from 7 am and I had to leave shortly after 6am to get across town for my Congress, so missed out but still had to pay for it.
Great Staff Did our laundry for free Near two metro stations Just great all around experience
Room was kind of small, but still good!
The staff always go that bit much further for you. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room clean and well equipped. Great location. Great Service.
Small size of room Smell of sewage in room
