Comfort Hotel François 1er  

Location was good and in a quiet place.

Central heating was not good. Had to have electric fire. Beds not comfortable. Would prefer a head height bracket for the shower.

Lovely staff, excellent location, very fair price. All in all a really nice French hotel in a lovely city...

We were traveling to the south of France from Paris and wanted a stop along the Atlantic for an overnight. The hotel was very comfortable and only a ten minute walk to the harbor and historic port area. We enjoyed the hotel with helpful, friendly staff. The rooms throughout France are often smaller than in the U.S., but our room had everything we needed and was very clean. The hotel is on a quiet street. The bed was comfortable.

No complaints. Good room for a good price.

The location was good, not right by the old port where it can be very busy and noisy but just a couple of minutes to the shops and five minutes from the port. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was also free parking which is a bonus in la rochelle! Pleasant room wih lovely old furniture and a pleasant atmosphere

There is no lift so for people like me with dodgy knees you need to ask to be on the ground floor; could have been more choice at breakfast and coffee facilities in the room would be good although not to have is not unusual in france; room was fine for me but two people might find it a little small

Excellent location and parking,staff are always superb and price hard to beat for this standard in central La Rochelle.

In the middle of La Rochelle.

Nylon floor. The radiator was being changed so we could not relax for couple of hours. The breakfast was pretty basic in a very small cramped dining room.

Good location. Close to Bus terminus, restaurants, bars. Not far from the harbour. Helpful staff.

Could do with interior redecoration.

Very roomy, would be good for a longer stay than my one night.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.The breakfasts had variety and were plentiful.The facilities for dining were a bit cramped. The hotel was very central yet quiet.

The Hotel was clean and quiet, the staff friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. The price was also reasonable.

The hotel decor was a little on the shabby side and the bathroom was rather dated. The room we had was very cold and there were only two towels and a couple of bulbs were missing from the light fixtures.
