Campanile Hotel Compiegne

We stayed in Compiegne because our son was directing the BBC production of the show MERLIN, and he invited us to visit the set at Pierefonds and meet the cast for a couple of days. So apart from a visit to the supermarket we were there. We did manage a visit to the railway carriage where the armistice agreement was signed.

friendly & helpfull staff. Very good value tasty simple food in restaurant. Much welcomed after the long drive from the midlands.

Rooms warm and comforable but quite noisey from the rooms above.

The breakfast was quite good.

did not like the openess of the rooms at the rear of the motel, directly on to a public park, no fencing, felt vunerable. The door of our room had been forced open at some point and badly repaired so not secure.The room was changed at our request, only to find the toilet in the bathroom was leaking all over the floor and had been doing so for some time.

it is easy to pack when leaving early. The breakfast buffet is fine

other people´s parking just outside the room - that is a lot of noise during the night and early morning

Hotel eingebettet in ruhige Wohnlage. Zimmer mit Blick auf ein kleines Waldstück. Angenehme Einrichtung. Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Restaurant mit vielfältigem Angebot, Grill, Buffet, und a la carte. Speisen gut zubereitet, Dessert mit viel Sorgfalt vorbereitet.

Speiseraum könnte ein bischen gemütlicher gestaltet werden.

Une chambre prête à 16 heures alors que nous étions arrivés à midi.
