HI Hôtel Eco Spa & Beach  

The pool on the roof was a good little extra. The morning staff were particulary helpful. The rooms were clean and the ideas behind the some of the hotel features were of good intention. The beach affiliated to the hotel had great salads.

The hotel is a few years old now and is a little shabby around the edges. The reviews in the guides we used were outdated and the scene in Nice has moved to the port area and not where the hotel is situated (this is no fault of the hotel) but it didn´t have a particularly contemporary vibe. Coming from Scandinavia where contempory and technology are natural parts of our everyday lives the hotel services on the wireless front were seriously lacking and smart phone docking stations were only installed whilst we were staying there. We changed rooms three times, the first time as my partner was too tall at 1.87m for the bed in the "indoor terrace" themed room as his feet ended in plantage, the second due to the lack of international channels in the "techno" room, the third room had small glitches with the door lock and some confusion with an extra bed. Overall the hotel felt unnecessarily tired as updates could have been made in the few years easily to improve the standard up to what is being charged. It had the feel of a luxury hostel and not in a way one would want. The rooms were not so well thought out design wise either - as if nobody had actually "tested" them for liveability - drop lighting where one would walk, tissues faraway from the sink, shutters giving total black out due to some windows not having blinds like the others. I think the aspect that was most frustrating was the knowledge that so much effort had been made in the beginning but was now being squandered.

The staff in the hotel were lovely. I really liked all the added extras - the books, the CDs/DVDs...and to evening pool parties!

Ottima accoglienza e inaspettato upgrade della camera. Posizione molto buona a meno di 5 min a piedi dal mare con spiaggia privata o a fianco spiaggia libera. Il bagno era più privato del previsto (specie leggendo i commenti qui)..il vetro era coprente fino a metà quindi garantiva una privacy sufficiente..anche se magari conviene soggiornare con persone con cui si ha confidenza. Stanza carina e colorata (dalle foto sembrava dovesse dare la nausea, mentre una volta all'interno era addirittura rilassante).

La piscina era piuttosto piccola..comunque carina, essendo all'ultimo piano..ma non aspettatevi una piscina olimpica dove far le vasche ecco... Al prezzo pagato la colazione dovrebbe essere inclusa!! Aggiungerla sarebbe costato 20 euro quindi abbiamo evitato. Il costo della spiaggia privata è esagerato: 32 euro per due lettini e un ombrellone?? Tra l'altro tutti stipati e appiccicati!.. Essendo arrivati nel pomeriggio l'hotel ci ha offerto una tariffa metà giornata a 24 euro per lo stesso pacchetto (comunque tanti). Meglio andare nella spiaggia libera giusto accanto quella dell'hotel. Parcheggio inesistente se non a pagamento (24 euro al giorno e tariffa oraria non esistente)...ma questo vale x qualsiasi hotel a Nizza.

L'hôtel est réelement écologique, ce n'est pas une simple démarche. Tout est bien pensé; des couleurs, du désign, du concept...les codes de l'hôtel traditionnel sont rompus et on se sent comme si on était chez soi. Je tiens à souligner que la literie est excellente.

La chambre technocorner est tres mal insonorisé. On entend la circulation et cela est très genant pour avoir un confort absolu lors du sommeil. D'autant que le volet roulant de la chambre ne ferme pas entièrement, ce qui laissait passer la lumière.

Une super nuit, l'établissement est vraiment luxueu. Le personnel toujours la si besoin. Rien a reprocher.

Nous avons aime la terrasse au 7e étage. Nous n'avons pas aime la facturation de la chaise longue a la plage: elle est gratuite pour les clients qui réservent en direct et est payante pour les clients booking.com. Nous n'avons pas aime les explications fournies. Les couleurs très vives (jaune poussin, orange,...) de la chambre rappellent parfois l'univers hospitalier. Le personnel est agréable et prévenant.
