Excellent location, very close to the Opera and a 15 minutes walk to the Louvre. The staff was polite and helpful, and most of them speak pretty good english. Nice decoration in the rooms and common areas. The room was spotless, it had a well stocked mini bar and the bathroom was very nice, with a bathtub and nice toiletries. We were flying out very late in the evening, but we were able to leave our luggage after we checked out, to have a last walk in the town. Room was small, but this is the case in all Paris hotels. Also, at this price, I would like for the room to have a kettle, to be able to make tea or coffee in the room - however, it is not a big deal as one can hardly spend a lot of time in the hotel room when in Paris!

Very courteous service. Fantastic location. No unnecessary frills. Clean. Bathroom door opens directly towards bed. A better solution would have been for the closet and bathroom doors to have been exchanged ...

Great location just off the avenue de l'opera and round the corner from where the Roissy airport bus stops so it is easy to find. Good metro stop nearby which makes travelling around the city easy. Rooms were small but better than average for Paris and the quality and cleanliness was of a high standard. Breakfast were very good. On the oposite side of the Avenue de l'opera and down a sidestreet is a square with lots of good places to eat at reasonable prices. The street outside was a bit noisy but did not disturb my sleep.

Room was very small and stuffy. Smelled like smoke even though we were in a non-smoking room. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was just ok. Compared to other hotels we stayed in, in cities in Europe for same price or less, this was by far the least favorite of all and the most expensive!!!

Great location The beds were too soft and the pillows extremely big. You need smaller and softer pillows. Plus the shower demands some glass door to prevent the bathroom from getting wet.

First I like the friendly staff. For a tourist like me who does not speak french, language is a challenge in paris. But the staff was truly accommodating and helpful! The room was also clean and bed was very comfortable.

The hotel staff were most accommodating. They booked restaurant reservations, attended to important messages, called cabs and airport shuttles. Anything we wanted the answer was always yes.Hotel staff spoke English fluently. Breakfast was superb, it was much more than a Continental breakfast and began as early as 7 am. The street is a little hard to find and having a little map for cab drivers to look at is helpful. That said, the location was very convenient to everything.

In general Horset Opera is nice. But if you need smth, like towel or dental kit after 22 pm be ready to pick this up by yourself at the reception. Nobody will bring it to you. Fresh orange juice will make the breakfast much more attractive.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel location is close to metro stations as well as major museums and the Opera House. The breakfast was adequate and a convenient way to start the day. Although expensive, I would stay there again. The room is typically small by usa standards.

The Horset Opera is a very good hotel:members of staff are smilingly courteous and efficient;the room was very comfortable and meticulously serviced every day;the breakfast buffet was very good and waiters kept a vigilant eye on tables which got reset (complete with clean tablecloths, which is not always the case, unfortunately,in other hotels) very promptly after use. There was no waiting for tables even at peak times,as guests were courteously redirected to a near-by sitting room. We were unfortunate in experiencing night-time filming underneath our windows on the third night of our stay .The noise kept us_and our neighbours_ awake well into the early hours of the morning. While the hotel clearly cannot possibly have any control over this matter,I understand that this is not a one off occurrence. Better sound-proofing of windows onto the street might be the answer.

The Location was great - just a few mins from the Metro, and a short walk (maybe 10mins) to the Louvre and also Galleries La Fayette. The room was bigger than we expected for a Paris central hotel (while still not being a large room). Reception staff were very helpful, and the breakfast couldn't be faulted. Overall, we were really happy with this Hotel. We would find it hard to fault the hotel for anything. Maybe just the fact that the bar staff weren't willing to allow us take a jug of tap water to our room, but instead wanted us to pay inflated prices for a large bottle of water. Paying silly prices for something as essential as water, while already paying high prices for the hotel stay just is not right. Especially when there is a handy Japanese food store (with bottled water at normal prices) just around the corner. Needless to say, we got our bottled water from this nearby shop.

I chose the Horset Opera after reading reviews on a number of 4 hotels in Paris as it was rated very highly. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable and had no problem with noise from other rooms or outside. The hotel is also in a good location, walking distance from the Louvre and Opera house and also restaurants and bars. Also there are two nearby metro stations. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a short break. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room but hardly a complaint.

Above all the location is excellent. The subway and local railways networks let us easily get to any destinations in the city of Paris and its vicinities. There are many and a wide variety of restaurants around the hotel where we could get in a few minutes by walk. So we also fully enjoyed groumet while staying at the hotel. The bathroom was very clean and well furnished with toilet articles not only soap, shampoo but also tooth brush, razer and other small convenient items as in Japan. The room is clean and well furnished, but too small for twin bed room so that when the bath room door was opened, it almost touched the bed which was placed at the bathroom side.

Great location. Clean hotel, room. Good staff, particularly reception area. Would have given higher marks if the price was lower. Not much to complain about - the room was rather small, but ok by Paris standards.
