Beautifully decorated throughout. Clean bright bedrooms and bathrooms. Very convenient for cathedral and rail station. Best value I have come across in France! |

Hotel was in a great location for visiting the Cathedral, 5ninutes by foot. Parking was just a short walk away and the hotel arrangement with the facility made it quite inexpensive. The hotel was well maintained and all the staff spoke English. I wound not hesitate to recomend this hotel. |

The location near the centre of Chartres is superb, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't as clean as we like (mould in the bathroom), and the room was very small for a family room, especially with three beds in it. The room wasn't very secure (no locks on third floor windows) for travellers with young children, either. |

The service, location and comfort were all very good. The desk personnel all pitched in and helped out. The hotel is 23 steps above the ground floor! That is a big issue for someone who is mobility-challenged! In the U.S., the first floor is considered the ground floow, so there is a communication issue there. But the desk clerk that night really pitched in and helped get me to my room! |

The hotel room was tiny but had all the necessaries, and the staff were very cordial and helpful to us. The location across the street from the train station and so close to the sights of Chartres that it was a good choice. |

It was directly across from the train station--excellent location. The price was good. The lack of an elevator up to the reception area. |

Very centrally located directly across from the train station. Within easy walking distance to the city center and the Chartres Cathedral. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have an arrangement also with a local restaurant that gets you a good discount on a set meal. Not the best accomodations--small room, average bed, two flat pillows. Being right across from the train station, you get the city noise throughout the night. I live in a major city, so wasn't a huge factor for me. Also, despite the ad for free internet...I didn't see it. Ended up having to link into some local hot spot. |

central location from the bus/train station and to the Chartres Cathedral room is small though that was expected. I faced the front street and there is a cafe below which was noisy initially though it quieted down later |

Convenient location, reasonable price. Room on the main street was noisy at night (bar opposite) and it was too hot with windows closed. |

The location was excellent for exploring many parts of the city, and for anyone coming in by train, it is conveniently situated directly across from the station. Given its location, there was an issue with noise at night since it sits on a very busy square and road. Since we were there in summer and wanted to have the windows open, the noise was a bit bothersome. |

The host was nice, giving us interesting tips about what to see. The situation is good, near the cathedral and nice squares. The breakfast was ok. The room and specially the bathroom were really small and badly decorated. The public area, even samll, was much better. As in all french hotels I've been, the higienic conditions at breakfast as bread and cakes are concerned are disgusting. Specially with the H1N1 flu touch food with the hands is a danger for public health. Why don't the French follow the roules of the E.U.? |

The hotel was very basic but good value for money. The room was clean and the bathroom had a good shower. For a stop over hotel it was adequate. There was only one very small, flat pillow. I think they should invest in some new ones! |

my room was very small and on the fourth floor the bed was very uncomfortable and the it was too small i paid a lot of money to stay there for two nights and i have to say i was very dissapointed with the room i paid 90 pounds for two nights and i got a small room with an uncomfortable bed!! not happy with the hotel (or the prices of the other hotels either ridiculous for a small town in the middle of nowhere i could stay in a good hotel in london for that money) |

Unless the poor chamber, beds not horizontal, we slept well. You have to climb a stair to come to the reception. With a heavy suitcase and a husband with painfull legs, this is not what we expected from the hotel. We didn't read anything about this situation. It should have been a moderate family hotel, but is was beneath all our expectations. |

Location was good for the centre of Chartes and the staff were helpful. The hotel interior was in need of redecoration and there was adistinct smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room. The shower cubicle was very cramped. |
