Hôtel Carré Vieux Port  

Although the room was fairly small, it was very clean, comfortable, smart and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful ideally situated in the vieux port

The location of the hotel is very good, close to the metro, old city port/waterfront and restaurants. The rooms are clean and the bed comfortable; in terms of size the room and bathroom were small rather than compact, but had everything one needed, tea/coffee making, good free wifi, hairdryer etc. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Carre Vieux Port for short stays.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Once you get past the dirty carpet on the steps on the way to the elevator the rest of the hotel is clean. Staff was friendly, breakfast was very good. Beds were okay but not great. Room was quiet and black out curtain kept the light out well enough with the neon hotel sign right outside my window.

Staff at reception desk were welcoming and extremely helpful. Room was on the small side but space was used efficiently and furnishings were modern. Room was kept impeccably clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were a bonus. Location was just a few steps away from the metro station and from the Old Port. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, great staff and good value for money. Highly recommended.

Location was excellent right on the front of vieux port behind all the restaurants and bars.the shopping area was a thirty second walk.staff were very helpful and friendly,especially the gentleman on the night shift during our stay.Overall very pleased with the hotel

It was a great value for money and a friendly available staff - always willing to help out. It was clean, modern and close to the action.

That it was a few meters from the Metro and from the city center.

Location was excellent & wifi

The room & bathroom were tiny & cramped. The carpet in the lobby & stairway filthy & reeked of chemical freshener. This is a 2 star hotelat best

The staff, especially reception and breakfast. They were friendly, helpful and showed a great sense of humour. The hotel's position is great - so close to to the Vieux Port, access to the Petit Train and open top bus and loads of restaurants. Good for a short city centre stay or business.The red cow was an interesting feature!

The lift was very small and rather antiquated. Not many rooms with any sort of a view. Parking outside very difficult - would have been good to have known this but parking nearby ok if you have a cool head in traffic!

The staff is what made our stay here enjoyable - they were first class all the way. Very personable, spoke English, helpful and genuine. The decor and ambiance of the hotel was great too. The room was small, as expected in France we have come to learn! But it was well appointed and clean. The bed was not so comfortable....and the outside noise (sirens all night long) was not the best either, but, this is not the fault of the hotel so much as just the way it is due to location and such. Again, the staff's attentiveness and excellent customer service made up for this. The buffet breakfast was well worth it with a great selection of food and drink, and as much as we wanted. For the price and location, we were happy with our selection. First class service without the first class price tag.
