Hôtel La Licorne & Spa  

The room was fine. The pool was lovely. The village is beautiful.

The hotel emailed me the day prior to arrival (too late to cancel without paying for the stay!) saying the room I had booked (entering number and ages of children in my booking.com search) was not suitable for a family and I could upgrade to a suite at an extra cost of 100euro. They were to call back in the morning prior to our set off time to arrange cancellation. They did not do this. I rang them, and eventually it appeared, after a sleepless night prior to our journey and the intervention of the booking.com agents, that the room would be ok after all. The restaurant of the sister hotel was recommended and provided reasonably nice food, but is not particularly child friendly, making our stay altogether a stressful experience.

Comfortable room with a good bed and bedding. The associated spa pool is a bonus.

Nice bathroom spoiled by insufficient hanging and shelf space. If you stay in Lyons la Foret you will do better to eat at the linked hotel Grand Cerf's restuarant rather than in this hotel's overpriced and rather slow restaurant, and perhaps stay there too. Overall doubtful about value for money. Booking.com displayed (said the hotel) the wrong breakfast price and so this resulted in some disagreeable exchanged with the receptionist.

Pool at Spa was unavailable for use.... Having driven several hours, we were looking forward to being able to relax in the pool - however there was an aerobics class until the very early closing time of 7pm

L'Hotel est idéalement situé au coeur d'un village historique et entouré de magnifiques demeures anciennes.La décoration est de trés bon gout avec un mélange subtil de contemporain et d'ancien.Enfin le spa ainsi que son service,sont impéccables.Le lieu est parfaitement pensé et idéal pour un long et agréable moment de détente!!!!

L'accueil à l'hotel est assez inégal:du trés agréable et souriant au moyen voire peu aimable!!!

accueil non chaleureux et peu professionnel - demande de literie double non respectee malgre un appel préalable et le personnel de l'hotel n'a pas voulu le reconnaitre - le petit dejeuner au rapport qualité / prix plus que médiocre - peinture de la chambre et salle de bain qui s'ecaillait

Le cadre est vraiment magnifique et le village très joli. Le spa est bien tenu et le personnel très agréable. La taille de la chambre agréable et le lit très confortable. On a pu rester jusqu'à 13h le dernier jour. Le restaurant annexe de l'hotel (pas La Licorne qui est le gastronomique) présente un excellent rapport qualité prix meme si le service était un peu léger. Petit déjeuner à 12€ imbattable.

La chambre est très bruyante (rue, couloir, plafonds et sols grincants). Le Wifi ne fonctionne pas dans les chambres. A 210€ la nuit, on peut espérer autre chose qu'une douche et qu'un sani-broyeur très bruyant pour les toilettes.

Village et lieu charmant... Hotel rénové avec gout ; accueil très sympathique par tout le personnel ..... piscine très suffisante pour se detendre.

Quelques troubles pour un hotel liés au caractère ancien et authentique de l'immeuble : grincement du parquet à chaque passage de client dans le couloir attenant.... Si vous avez la chambre 27, demander avant si les coups de belier audible à tout moment dans la chambre (donc y compris la nuit...) ont été supprimés...en effet, c'est très desagrable d'être reveillé par ce genre de fort bruit dès qu'un client tire de l'eau et ce de n'importe quelle chambre. Enfin, petit déjeuner un peu cher quand même....

Nous avons passé un bon moment dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est sympa. Les chambres sont classes, confortables. Pour la détente, le spa est super : piscine, hammam, sauna, bain bouillonnant, bref le bonheur.

Het hotel is zeer smaakvol ingericht en is gevestigd in een prachtig oud pand. Ontbijt was prima verzorgd. De Spa met klein zwembad is een leuke bijkomstigheid om even te ontspannen.

Het is jammer dat het restaurant niet helemaal ingericht is op kinderen. Voor een aanpassing in het menu wordt de volle prijs berekend. Daarnaast is het lastig dat men geen Engels spreekt. Na lang zoeken heeft men een menukaart in het Engels tevoorschijn gehaald. Deze zou tenminste onder handbereik moeten zijn. Het zusterhotel heeft ook een restaurant welke iets gunstiger in prijs is maar helaas gesloten in de periode van ons verblijf. De 1e week van januari is sowieso geen aanrader daar de enkele restaurants en winkels in het dorp allemaal gesloten zijn.

L'hôtel est charmant. Nous avons passé un bon séjour. Nous avons profité dans cette période hivernale de nous réchauffer au spa. Le local est sympa , dépaysant et le personnel agréable. Notre chambre de catégorie privilège comme ils l'appellent était classe et rien à redire niveau propreté. L'accueil était correct que ce soit au niveau de la réception lors de notre arrivée, qu'au restaurant. Le restaurant est original dans sa décoration. Le service impeccable. Nous vous recommandons cet établissement.
