Nice outdoor pool and lounger area; beds comfortable; staff super-friendly and helpful; good breakfast for reasonable price
No elevator, but they are working on putting 1 in; location - no stores or restaurants anywhere nearby
Staff Clean Comfortable Free very secure parking Great location with a car
Breakfast was average, a bus group had cleaned up the stocks
Private secure parking. Peaceful surroundings.
Bathroom was very small in comparison to the rest of the room. A bit outside the downtown area (there is public transportation that stops right outside).
Location is only fair with no nice restaurants or bars within walking distance . Very think else was excellent value. On the plus side, it keep the drinking down as you had to drive to the restaurants !
Really comfortable bed and pillows, beautiful garden and pool area to come back to after a day if sight seeing. Hotel restaurant exceeded our expectations - better than a lot if the food served in the old town. And free secure parking.
Need a car to get around. Too far to walk into the old town, so need your own transport.
Ease of on site parking.
No lift to take cases up stairs. Lack of space in the room. Very small bathroom Very thin towels
The professionalism of the staff
The location suited us, as we hired a car and travelled around Provence, using the hotel as a base. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Facilities at the hotel were fine, but it is not in the town centre and there is a lack of shops and alternative bars and restaurants nearby.
Location, staff (Yann was especially helpful), food and room quality
This hotel has quite recently reburbished and it shows. It is within 20 mins of the City Centre which MUST NOT be missed. So much to see and enjoy.
My husband and I stayed at hotel du Lavarin in September. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Location is brilliant especially if you have a car. We chose this because assured of free, on site parking. Bus stop is almost outside the hotel and was very cheap to go into the Old Town. Bed was amazingly comfortable and room wonderful. Extremely clean. Meals were of a high quality. It was great after a day spent tripping around countryside of Provence in rental car to come to peace and quiet and eat dinner in the garden! We enjoyed our breakfasts eachorni g I. The garden. I would highly recommend this hotel and not hesitate to stay again. All staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thank you Patricia and Simon for a Fabius experience. This was our first time to France.
There was nothing to dislike except that we had to leave to go onto Nice!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent parking. Breakfast decent though not memorable.
Awful location for the old city. We walked into the centre through what can only be described as a very dodgy neighbourhood and chose to get a taxi back, which wasn't easy on a Sunday night.
Staff,service,comfort and pool
The food was ok but very little choice, an unchanging menu, and we'll overpriced. We got a much higher quality choice and meal at local restaurants. Breakfast was good but no small-size option so very expensive if you only want a smallish meal. The hotel needs to review its food offering and pricing It spoils what is otherwise an excellent hotel
We loved the garden and pool and the professional attitude of the friendly staff. The hotel was stylish and comfortable.
The location was a little out of the centre and as the last bus left the town centre at 9.20 pm it restricted us to an early supper or overpriced taxi. You could hire bikes which was great but my only advice would be for the hotel to provide extra lights for them so you could cycle safely at night.
breakfast was very good
room should be cleaned
Very nice breakfast, beautiful garden and nice swimming pool...
The bus in front of the hotel is practical but the last ride from the city of Avignon to the hotel is around 9 p.m...
Nice, big family room, the staff were very friendly and helpful , the restaurant was lovely, pool atmosphere was relaxing.
Friendly staff, great food, terrific pool, convenient amenities.
Wi-Fi spotty, no elevator.
The Staff were a delight, friendly and helpful Breakfast - loads of choice Swimming Pool Spotlessly Clean Rooms, comfy bed
Same menu on two nights running, no lunch available at weekends
Nice garden and the place itself
Didn't like the food at the restaurant at all. Too bad there were not enough place to rest at the pool so once i had to lay on the grass...
we were put in old rooms facing the parking area not the picture on the internet we saw, rooms opposite us were revamped and facing swimming pool. We were unable to move rooms! Aircon did not work with a heatwave in Avignon! Very small rooms and over priced!!!!
Very clean, Modern, recently renovated, small water boiler in room for making coffee or tea.
Very friendly and helpful staff, prepared to speak English when necessary. Excellent evening meals with varied and well-presented menus. Good swimming pool and pleasant garden to relax. Easy walking distance of the old town, but far enough away to be quiet.
Bedroom accommodation a bit plain, with narrow corridors and little attempt to break up the bland walls. Limited tea/coffee facilities in room, and unattractive paper cups.
A bit far from the main attractions and good restaurants.
Clear, good environment, large yard, convenient transportaion
too much expensive in art festival period
