The setting - the Abbey and its grounds - is really impressive, so that's the greatest draw to these accommodations. Our room itself was adequate, clean, and had a great view of the gardens. |

The simplicity of the layout, the friendliness of the staff, the proximity to the Abbaye de Fontevraud, the tranquillity. |

Fun to stay within the walls of such a magnificent old abbey . We also enjoyed a fabulous dinner Access was not staight forward. On the second day of our stay it was not possible to drive to the hotel and we had to park some distance away. A brief note to us the previous evening would have been appreciated as clearly the hotel staff knew that the roads would be blocked off for a village fete. The breakfast did not measure up to the dinner and the coffee was luke warm. |

The site is fabulous for someone that likes history. The restaurant serves excellent meals and is around one of Frances greatest areas. |

The setting of the hotel within the abbaye grounds was wonderful, after the Abbaye closed its doors to visitors it was a quiet and tranquil place. We stayed I would imagine in one of the budget rooms though there was no indication on booking this was the case, it was small the decor and equipment tired and ready for a refurb. |

The location is magnificent. The gardens are beautiful. Walking aound and visiting the abbey is an experience. The dinner was fine The rooms on the 3rd floor are really very small /too small. I aslked for a larger room but did not get one. The price of our room was much too high. |

An amazing hotel, it's situation was perfect and the price was very good. It was a special anniversary for us on the night we stayed and we had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Highly recommended. |

The setting--inside the Royal Abbey itself--is magnificent, as is the dining room, menu, and cuisine. Our room was quiet and peaceful, and the king-sized bed was comfortable. There is secure parking within the walls of the abbey. Our room and bathroom were very small; the room was partly below ground level. |

Being able to walk around the grounds after the public had gone, a real privilege. Tour included in price of stay. Some Deluxe rooms no different from Standard rooms, just one floor higher. No mirror with dressing table. |

The location in the Abbey was fantastic. We did not eat in the dining room, but it looked wonderful. If you stay here. make sure you have time to visit the Abbey. The room was not up to the standard of the hotel. The bathroom was in need of some renovation. The stair carpet was worn through. |
