The hotel is at the city centre. Very close to restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The hotel is nearby to IUT Le Creusot and Centre Condorcet. It also has a restaurant integrated in the hotel. Very nice and simple breakfast provided. Good staff.
No sink water in the toilet.

Comfortable bed only.
Staff attitude, quite rude, no lift and not mentioned in the booking process that there was not a lift. Nobody to help with taking luggage up to the 2nd floor, there were a lot of stairs!! If I had known, I would have booked a superior room as they were on the lower floors. The breakfast was very expensive, and there was no coffe/tea rooms or any choice of cafés open in the town. They were all shut for the French holidays!! So would not recomend this hotel.
Location, price, building itself was well located. Breakfast was good. Great overnight stop on the drive back to Calais.
Dinner was OK but so slow. I think it is down to the staff not being on the ball and attentive to clearing plates, taking orders etc. So probably better bar staff than waiting staff.
This is a very interesting place! The hotel itself is located on the grounds of a chateau/mansion, in one of the original buildings. I think they were trying to make something out of it, but lack of money or flow of traffic through the town seems to have put a halt to that? In any case, there was almost no one there when we went. Everything is very gracious; you can tell it once belonged to a grand house. Our rooms were well-furnished and designed, with comfortable beds. The staff were so kind to us; we had brought pizza back from the town (beware, stores close early!) and had sat down in the covered seating outside to eat on napkins and paper plates, when the receptionist came out with the hotel dining ware and utensils! That was very nice of him. The grounds are fun to explore, too. Would recommend!
There was no AC, which was a bit uncomfortable, but they brought us a fan when we asked. The room itself was great, but the bathroom was a bit dated. It wasn't of the same quality as the rest of the place, but it's not a big deal.
The room was gloomy and dated. Poor quality furnishings. Worst of all was the service in the dining room. It took over two hours to be served an entrée and plat principal. We gave up on the dessert and coffee and returned to our room. We never saw a server after we received the plat principal. Very disappointing. Location was hard to find and had no restaurants nearby or urban features of interest. It seems to be a gritty, industrial town. End of story.
Staff were friendly & helpful, grounds lovely, as we had our dog with us! Room good size!
Food was served & presented beautifully, but tasted of not very much! Disappointing ! Room quite pricey as en-suite could do with some updating! No fridge!
Huge bedroom, nice staff. It's worth spending 15 euros for breakfast.
The atmosphere and the food. Our trip on the second day started at 7.30, breakfast was ready from 6.15 - great service !
I had just an overnight stay at this hotel. I found the staff very helpful and courteous. The accommodation was very comfortable. Breakfast provided an excellent choice of food and beverages.
Very little to criticize here. However, some areas of the hotel could benefit from better decoration.
The Hotel is well positioned near the centre of the town, with some restaurants a short walk away. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was very good.
These are nit-pick points that didn't distract from our short stay:- 1) There seem to be two roads with the name "Jules Guesde" in the town. Our Sat-nav took us to the wrong one. After trying various options we finally admitted defeat and had to ask some locals. 2) The bathrooms were so large that they could easily have had a separate shower. This isn't really a criticism, just an observation.
The building, the reading corner with possibilty to make tea and coffee and surrounding gardens, parc, close to the city centre and Xmas market. Breakfast. Decorations, paintings connected to the family Schneider .
