Hôtel les Cigales    

The staff was excellent. They were helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel was in a great location, especially if you want to walk to and from the train station, and for all the sights and restaurants of Nice. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

The water for the shower was either not consistent temperature-wise or it was too soft and didn't wash off the soap. (We stayed in 6 places in 3 weeks, so I get the places confused.)

A pleasant, small-sized hotel set in a relatively quiet road. The main parts of Nice and Nice-Ville railway station are within a 10 minute walk and there are buses nearby. We found Les Cigales to be very clean and comfortable. The staff in general were friendly and receptionists were helpful with information about Nice. There was a good selection of food (if always the same from day-to-day) provided for the buffet breakfast. We made an excellent choice of hotel for a week's stay.

As in most hotels, finding a suitable setting for the air-conditioning is very hit-and-miss.

Good location in Nice. Nice building, good friendly staff. We didn't take breakfast so can't comment on that. We had an older child sharing a room with us - there was reasonable space and the rooms were good.

The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast excellent. We were extremely comfrotable and looked after brilliantly. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in whilst travelling in France.

The hotel is well maintained and very clean. All staff were polite, attentive and knowledgable. The location is good for access to Nice centre, the train station, buses and the promenade. Restaurant choice in the area is very good.

Breakfast choice was slightly limited but perfectly adequate.

It was pretty central and had great restaurants close by and most attractions are in walking distance of the hotel.

Did not have tea or coffee facilities in the room. That would have been perfect if this was available. The hairdryer was not very powerful so you need to take your own

Location was ideal in Nice. Staff so obliging and friendly. Room very comfortable and wifi free. Spoilt for choice with many restaurants within a stroll from the Hotel.

Me and my husband were guests of the hotel for 7 nights. I want to highly recommend on the hotel. The location is great, the breakfast is rich and tasty, the room was very clean and we got answers from the staff for any questions with a smile :)

I have been picked by some insects in this hotel !!! which is probably living in the bed.... The rooms are so small There are rooms on the ground floor close to the reception, lots of noise... you can not sleep

Cleanliness Very helpful staff

We were in room 12 and noises from neighbouring rooms and bathrooms were easily heard. We could hear our neighbours brushing their teeth, the rest I will leave to your imagination. It is for this reason alone that we would not recommend the hotel which is a pity as it was perfect in everyother way and the staff work extremely hard and are very pleasant and helpful.

Very cozy, clean and cute. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like you are visiting good friends. Mr. Valentino is the best. He helped us with our luggage and parking. He advised us where to go and what the best to see. He treated us like his best friends he did not see for a long time. The ladies who worked with him were very kind and happy to help as well. We feel very secure and happy during our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends.

We liked its location just a short walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the old town, combined with its reasonable prices and its excellent free wifi service. The staff spoke good English and were all friendly and helpful. The staff member who checked us in provided us with a map, marked major sites of interest and gave us tips on finding buses to other places that we wanted to visit - much more helpful than staff at the nearby tourist information centre

We would have liked an in-room tea/coffee making facility. Our top floor room had a sloping ceiling that required great care in walking around the bed to avoid a head bump - but we appreciated the ceiling window to give extra light!

We loved Hotel les Cigales! The staff is amazing. So friendly and helpful in everyway. The location is great for walking and we would definately stay there again.
