The Hostellerie Les Frenes is ideally located for a stay in Provence in a very quiet area close to the Papal city.

Guest rooms in the main house are decorated in a Provencal style and furnished with period family heirloom furniture dating back to Napoleon I.

They are exceptionally well equipped with air conditioning, private bathrooms, a HI-FI stereo and a TV. Some have a balcony.

The restaurant, Le Jardin des Frênes, serves delicious and inventive Provencal cuisine.

The Hostellerie is just 5 minutes from Avignon's ramparts, the Pope's Palace and the Avignon Bridge.

The breakfast was good but expansive. Overall, it did not worth the 270 euros I paid for that stay (2 people and 2 breakfast). Would definitely recommend this hotel! The grounds are an incredible place for events. The swimming pool, advertised as operational in May, was empty. We had no running hot water in our room for all of the 4 nights - they did not even get a plumber to sort the problem and were unable to offer an alternative room of equal standard. Discount given but would have preferred hot water! Paint was peeling off the walls/ceiling in bedroom, dining room and stairs - and remained not swept up on the stairs throughout our stay. Kamer mooi maar airco werkte niet wat ons verplichtte om te slapen in meer dan 30 graden. Na klachten nog niet in orde. Gratis internet werkte niet. Ontbijtbuffet mager (oa zure melk, koude thee,...)
