Hôtel Les Grandes Tours    

Having an underground car park. The hotel has been revamped since our last visit (June 2012) and the upgrade was very impressive. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the breakfast was good.

There was nothing not to like. Reception was manned and not automated so the personal approach was nice.

Clean hotel, good location. Staff were very helpful, giving us breakfast earlier at our request.

Only complaint is that no one was at reception when we arrived.

The hotel was renovated, so everything seems newly. The service is good. Staffs are friendly. And the hotel is so close to the scenery.

The front door is not easy to find. First night we enter the hotel through the parking.

The location.

The hotel was as absolute dump. The small size of the room was not an issue, but the poor quality of everything in the hotel was a big issue. The shower head was broken off the wall ( and had been for some time), so you had to hold the shower head over your head or alternately watch thevwater spray the rest of the room. A light fixture in the second bedroom was hanging off the wall. When we took a spare pillow out of th closet, a used sanitary napkin came flying out with it and remained on the floor for 2 days. (I have photos of all on my iPhone which I will upload.) Dinan is a gem and I will return and tell others, but I will tell them o avoid Hotel Les Grand Tours!!

Friendly staff, who spoke good english.

The room was very noisy, we were at the front of the hotel.A fan in the room would be a great help.

- Close to town-centre, shops and castle / park. - Friendly staff at reception - Breakfast very good - Underground car park very convenient and secure - Clean and safe.

- Corridors a bit dark - A bit stuffy upstairs - could probably do with some quiet air-conditioning. - Front door opens almost straight out onto busy road - not sure what could be done about this, though?

the service and help we received from the Receptionist was far above that expected She brought gave up her parking space so we could have secure parking for our vehicle and luggage overnight.We would appreciate if our sincere thanks could be conveyed to her again and this kindness to the attention of her Management Team

The light switches in the corridor were difficult to find .

A friendly, affordable hotel with a lift. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Location fabulous and breakfast good in a very busy breakfast room, but good choice.

The location was excellent.

The rooms were dingy and old fashioned. Quite expensive. Didn't have breakfast.

Great location for easy access to the town centre. Staff very helpful when we needed to find a laundromat.

Moody staff member. Pdf machine not working. Had to find atm to pay bill. Hotel room not dusted. Hairdryer in both rooms not working. Staff not very welcoming. Overpriced. Had to eat breakfast in back room as dining room reserved for groups. When asked for more coffee as the pot was only warm was shown the microwave in the kitchen

Hotel offers fair value for money with undercover parking. Location is a little away from eating facilities.

Hotel is towards the bottom end of the market in need of some improvements.

Find it a bit annoying having to pay for parking

The location was good and the hotel provided secure parking for a minimal fee. The family room was adequate size. The hotel is old but was very clean.

It was in an excellent location for an overnight stop after Condor from Guernsey to St Malo and then an onward journey to Angers in Loire Valley. We were travelling by motorbike and the car park beneath the hotel was tucked away and secure. The staff were very nice as our French was limited, the room had a nice view over the rooftops and the bed was comfortable with extra pillows provided. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed a stroll down to the river and through the old town. We would not hesitate to stay at Les Grandes Tours again and recommend it to our friends.

Ideally situated in the historic town of dinan. A very pleasant hotel to stay in. Our room was clean, warm and cosy. We had undercover parking and pre-booked this at 8 euro. Dinan certainly is one of the prettiest destinations in britagne.
