Le Relais Montmartre  

The staff are most warm and friendly. Sweet gestures such as chocolates and a card and even a book. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated in country charm not to mention very clean. Nice soft bed and duvet. Great location as well as it is a minute away from the moulin rouge and metro. Probably my best experience of Paris.

The rooms were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and well appointed. I loved the showers. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is very close to a metro stop, so it is convenient for any sightseeing. There is a great boulangerie about a block away, as well as several restaurants. Although in a noisy neighborhood, the hotel was pretty quiet. I was impressed with the double-pane windows, which kept things quiet. Overall, I would recommend this hotel especially for couples or singles.

I didn't love the neighborhood, though I know it would appeal to some. Plenty of nightlife. But that's a minor issue, given the close metro and nice rooms.

Great little hotel. Rooms can be a bit small as this is normal for Europe/Paris. The location is very nice, Montmarte is a beautiful area. Metro station in only 5 minutes away. Most importantly, the staff at the fron desk were very helpful and delightfully nice and welcoming.

No bathtub in my room :( The rooms are quite small, but then again - so are most spaces in Paris.

We thought this was a lovely hotel. It is calm, peaceful and comfortable. Our room was fairly big - we easily had enough space. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom very nice. There was some space for storing clothes. We had two windows which we were able to open and lean out to look at the street below, which we enjoyed. The location is superb, just off the Rue Lepic and the Rue des Abbesses - both very central for Montmartre. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, metro stations and bus stops within two or three minutes walk, but the road itself is quiet. Other reviewers have said that the 13 Euros for breakfast is too much. While we think it is rather steep, we chose to stay in the hotel for the breakfast on both mornings, and enjoyed it. The breakfast room is in the basement and is an attractive, vaulted room, and the food provided was great. There is a big choice, including cereals, boiled eggs, croissants, toast and fruit. The breakfast staff were polite and friendly. Anyone who doesn't want to pay that price always has the choice of going out to a local cafe. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We had no problems at all with the hotel and would recommend it to others.

One very small thing: the shower screen in the bathroom was not big enough and we found ourselves splashing water onto the toilet and other parts of the bathroom. This was a shame because the shower was lovely and strong.

The location, in the heart of Montmarte and a short walk from Blanche Metro station, was ideal. It was easy to reach rom Gare du Nord, the Eurostar terminus. The reception staff were efficient and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast room in the vaulted cellar was lovely.

Unfortunately the breakfast, although delicious in quality, was, at 13 Euros per person, about twice the cost of a similar breakfast a short walk away.

Comfort of room and bathroom. Some hotel staff were quite helpful. Lovely place, nicely decorated.

Smell of smoking still hangs in the room, shower drain seems slow, some staff unhelpful (night staff) and perhaps because it is a small hotel the staff were busy with the management/running of the business instead of being friendly to guests.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were happy to phone cabs, offer advice, mind luggage after check-out times and have friendly conversation (in various languages!). The breakfast was delicious!!! Loved the yoghurt, fruit, coffee and pastries. Especially loved the breakfast location

It was a little distant from the metro (for carrying luggage).
