We spent 4 nights and had an excellent time there. Our room was consisted of a bed room just big enough for two people, a bath room with a bathtub, and a kitchen. Everything functioned well. We liked very much the colors of walls which were different room by room. 15 min walk from the Sacre-Coeur, the area was full of daily shops like bakery, butcher, florist, super market, wine shop, cheese shop, cafe, etc... We bought cheese, wine and meet to cook for a dinner. Staying at this hotel, we can feel the daily life of Parisian (middle-upper class, may be...). If you would like to choose a hotel in Paris not so touristy, and not so far from the center of the city, I can strongly recommend this hotel. |

Very spacious room, vey 'parisian' atmosphere - lovely little balcony nice fittings etc. Good location too - less that 15 mins walk from Gare du Nord (eurostar) also very close to Monmartre while still reasonably central, 4 mentro stops near by and a lovely bar and cake shop just abound the corner. Also very peaceful and quiet. Light switches in the corridors didn't always work as expected. |

Room that accomodated all five of us ( two adults and three children. the hotel suite we were in had a kitchen but no crockery, cutlery or anything to cook in- pretty useless. Lots of things were broken and it felt pretty run down. |

The staff were extremely helpful regarding, restaurants, metro's, directions etc. I felt overall the place was very clean but the carpets were a little shabby, which is the only fault I have, but I would still go back there as location was very good and staff very helpful and friendly. |

The staff were very friendly and were also very helpful, giving us directions to the main attractions and supplying a small map. The room was very dated and tired.Ceiling was cracked with paint flaking off and the window frame was also peeling. Fridge was very noisy. Room was nothing like pictures on website. |

The staffs are very nice and helpful. The room is quite a good size with amenities, even though we do not need them (such as stove). In my opinion, firstly they should change their name from 'Alba Opéra' into 'Alba Montmartre' or 'Alba Pigalle' since the name is misleading as the hotel is in no way near the opera. Furthermore, we were slightly disappointed because based on the hotel pictures it looks like a 'design' / 'boutique' hotel but in fact the room given to us looked rather basic/old fashioned and so un-designed. Therefore we think that the price is far too high for this hotel as afterwards we stayed in another hotel with better location, better looks and almost half the price. |

The rooms are indeed larger than expected, although they do have a slightly antique (nevertheless chic and clean) look. The hotel staff is more than great - very helpful, and the general atmosphere is marked by a friendly intimacy. When deciding to visit Sacre Coeur or Moulin Rouge areas, please keep in mind that, by night, that upper-part of the neighborhood gets filled with strange characters, most of them groggy due some mood-altering substances, which may eventually lead them to an aggresive stance. Instead, the lower-part - towards Notre Dame de Lorette and further La Fayette, is diametrically opposite (i.e. so cool, so "in parisian style", so chic), full of shops and markets, cafes and restaurants/lounge bars. Try la Rue des Martyrs.. |

The hotel was very cute and the staff very nice and helpful - however there is a huge drawback - this hotel was quite far away from the Opera and the distance given on the site is a bit misleading. Its a good 30 min walk and not easy to get up and down from there. I'd still say this hotel would appeal to someone who wants to explore Paris by living in a real parisian neighborhood - which is very artsy, and getting trendier. The staff especially made a good effort to talk about different things around the hotel and seemed very passionate about it. The rooms were old but well kept - this is not a luxury hotel but it is a charming intimate and even rather romantic place... if ur going with a partner its a good choice to stay here. Too far from the Opera - should not be even called Alba Opera - its a 30 min walk away. |

The hotel was really beautiful and typically Parisian. In a really nice and quiet area but only a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord. Hotel manager was really nice and friendly. Room was large and even had it's own kitchen. Would definitely stay again. |

Very convenient to go shopping around the hotel and go to center of city. Wireless LAN in the room was not available, though pre-announced as OK. The lift was too narrow. |

Friendly, helpful service in English or French. The hotel is set at the end of a small cul-de -sac, about ten minutes walk from Gare du Nord and well situated to explore the city; it was free from nightime traffic. Our room was a decent size, had comfortable beds and was clean. The bathroom had a bath with shower attachment but a wall mounted bracket for the shower would have been useful. Breakfast was basic but tasty, served inside or in a small interior courtyard. The art-film decor works well and gives the place a 'something a bit different' feel. There's a good atmosphere and we'll stay again, when visiting Paris. It's not 'posh' but if you want somewhere with a bit of character at a reasonable price then this hotel is a good choice. |
