Extremely convenient location. There were many restaurants close by and even a supermarket was in front of the hotel. Only taxi was needed from the station. The room was not big but comfortably and nicely furnished. I enjoyed the stay very much. Also the hotel was very quick in answering to inquiries by E-mail.

The location. Now a slightly dowdy hotel in need of redecoration and upgrading. Cramped and gloomy corridors and bedrooms.

We stayed at Saint-Martin to be able to visit the Christmas Market. The hotel is in the centre of the town and is perfectly positioned. Our room was very small with twin beds but was clean and the bathroom was was adequate. This is not a hotel for a long short but ideal for a short visit to beautiful Colmar.

We went for the Colmar Xmas markets and they were excellent. The hotel was clean, friendly, helpful and I would definitely stay there again. It was right in the hub of things but the room we had was very quiet. (Room 203) It was at the back of the hotel and it was like stepping out into a different world when you go out the front door into the market atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Brill holiday. ;O))

We arrived at the hotel having to to deal with some mechanical problem with our rental car, which we had abandoned several blocks away. The receptionist, Lucienne, was a life saver! She helped us get a taxi to retrieve our bags, and communicate with the two truck driver, and just be supportive at a low point in our vacation.

We really enjoy staying in quaint hotels that start out and over the course of years are added to. This hotel had many nooks and crannies and was interesting. I am not a fan of duvets and find them too heavy.

Very little. Arrived to meet an unhelpful receptionist busy on the phone. The parking is not as near as suggested and hard to find without a stanav. It is public and we had to pay. Rooms boring with far too much plastic and melamine, a pity since the outside looks great. The breakfast room was quite nice, traditional alsace but the breakfasts were greedily overpriced. The bedside drawer had a box of someone else's pills in it. I didn't like the St Martin at all. However Colmar is nice so go there but stay somewhere else! We ate at Restaurant Pfeffel which was good value and good fun. Lots of interesting local food

Location The worst hotel staff I have ever seen. Each person was ruder then the next and totally unhelpful. The only questions we asked were were to park and were the laundry mat was and both times were told just no. I would never stay there again.

Very small and quaint old hotel (1300's)but well maintained. Is located in the old section of the city which makes walking anywhere very easy. Parking was a little awkward to get to, but one of the staff graciously came with me to help me maneover the multiple one way streets and find a spot in the lot close by. If she hadn't, I still be driving around!

Our friends had stayed at the Saint- Martin hotel and recommended it. Central location and easy walking distance to all the major attractions at Colmar. Very comfortable and clean with many good places to eat nearby. The staff were welcoming and helpful and most had good English. Not a complaint, but we thought that the breakfast was expensive compared to what was available nearby- but more than just the petit d'jeurnez my have been served. Everything else was very good.

The staff was extremely helpful in getting me acquainted with the public transit in the area... what time it started, what time it ended, and how at this time of year, it was free.

“Friendly, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious, imaginatively decorated and well appointed . The hotel is perfectly situated at one end of the recommended medieaval city walk. The breakfast, which was included in our tarriff, was excellent and plentiful and the seating very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - in fact one of them kindly recommended local restaurants to us and then booked them for us when we had made our choice” Rosemary, Kingston Upon Thames |

“The hotel was the chosen because it was close to the centre of Colmar and was 80 euros for a double - only 10 euros more than the other two star hotels which were all near rthe railway station. Excellent staff, great location, very comfortable room with airconditioning. Should be 3 star.” Matt, Frankfurt |
