Perfect location, on the Main Street in town. Scenic. Staff was helpful and let us check in 1.5 hours early. Explained parking, which was free. The hotel has character and comfort. We would definately stay there again.

Wifi only worked in the lobby, not in our room or in breakfast room.

The lack of welcome the lack of eye contact from the receptionist when we arrived No greeting from receptionists when we passed in and out of the lobby- basically ignored the dark room in close proximity to noise until 2 am the view of a dirty blank wall from the window about 3 feet away. (Room7) the shower - no bath - very cramped and would only accommodate a person under 6 ft tall the lack of refreshments available - none- no coffees available no restaurant no staff at breakfast very impersonal cynical towards guests whose comfort did not appear to matter no lift or offer of help to carry baggage across a courtyard and up two flights of narrow stairs It could have been a Travel Lodge but with worse customer care. Not informed when wi fi returned on stream after having been off stream

I liked the big bath tub. The room was clean.

The beds were small, and the heating was not working properly.

Relly nice atmosphere in an beatiful old buidling. Small but cosy room.

We had a wonderful time in Colmar. The hotel is located in the old part of town and close to everything. The staff were helpful and provided good suggestions for dinner at nearby restaurants. Would definetly stay here again.

Great rooms with wooden beams. Good shower, all the amenities you could want and slap bang in the middle of town

I thought it was like living through an episode from Fawlty Towers but a lot less amusing. PS if you're not familiar with this comedy classic, starring John Cleese as Basil Fawlty, a harrassed, incompetent hotel owner running a sub-standard establishment in which the guests always come last; you can quickly find references on the web.

The owner was extremely helpful and our room was very nice. The breakfast was typical of bed and breakfasts, but we were offered eggs in addition to the usual selections.

The hotel is a wonderful old house but without an elevator it was difficult for two 70 something year olds to get ourselves and our luggage to our toom on the second floor. The second floor was really the third floor because of the high ceilings. We had to go up three long flights of steps.

Lovely quirky hotel with lots of character in very central location in picturesque old town. Great medieval building. My room was very spacious, warm (freezing outside) and had lots of "rustic" character and great views onto the town. Nice bathroom. Friendly staff who spoke good English.

Only downside was the breakfast was a bit unexciting and I found the town overly touristy, but still very much worth a visit and I would recommend the hotel.

The man at the front desk in the morning was very unpleasant and unfriendly, it looks like we were bothering him, even though we did not ask for anything. However the other people working there were acceptable.The room very small.needs renovation, bad mattress, very old and worn bed comforter and blankets.

We extended a second day it was so nice our second room 19 was much better but smaller than the first

The location cannot be faulted. It is probably the most interesting part of Grande Rue. That, however, can have its downside for the few rooms facing the street as they can be a little noisy at night even with the double glazed windows closed. The hotel also is of interest architecturally both inside and out. The staff where also courteous and helpful.

We had some minor complaints - empty tissue box not being replaced or refilled and a soap dispenser in the bathroom that refused to dispense soap. More significant complaints were the very problematic WiFi (this was a common complaint amongst guests) and a very ordinary breakfast that certainly was not worth the 12 euros per person extra. Despite these complaints we would still recommend this hotel, but with reservations.

our room was hot and at the front of the hotel on a busy street; noisy at night as we had to keep the windows open.

Close to all 'the action' with a view from our front rooms. The Colmar Market was just 2 blocks away and wine tasting at our doorstop.A supermarket across the street gave access to 'snack' foods etc. many restaurants,bisros and coffee shops in the area with friendly service. We used the St. Martin as a base to travel the Alsace Wine Route. Again, our GPS (sat.nav.) proved helpful with all the one-way streets and after dropping off our luggage the front desk directed us to free parking just 2 blocks away...no problem, wonderful stay !.
