Comfortable beds, great shower, very helpful staff, good location outside if town, but really close to a subway stop.
Wifi needs to be reset every 4 hours. A pain in the neck.
We visited Lyon on two seperate occasions recently and stayed at the Best Western Saphir Hotel on both occasions. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lyon. It has close access to the motorway system and having arrived we discovered parking was free in the street during the month of August! The hotel is a modern, efficient hotel, helpful friendly staff and an excellent restaurant and bar. We had dinner there on our return from the south and can testify that the food is superb. On our outward and return holiday journey, our room/s were both spotlessly clean and we can honestly say the most comfortable we have ever stayed in.
Staff at the bar and in the restaurant, both dinner and breakfast, very efficient, friendly and accommodating. Food at dinner extremely good. Easy access from motorway A6.
Would have been tricky getting into garage if no one had been in front of us. Staff at reception were not very welcoming at either check in or check out.
We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Lyon on our outward journey to Provence and on the return. We can honestly say this was the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Both our rooms were immaculately clean and the bed was the fabulously comfortable. We also had a meal at the restaurant and breakfast both mornings. The food and service were first class. The reception staff were most helpful and we were delighted to discover the parking was free outside the hotel on the road, all through August!
The room was superb as was the food in the restaurant. I would offer one caution for those thinking of staying here. It is a good 20 minutes walk from the old town, although very close to the metro.
Easy to find from the Autoroute Comfortable rooms Goodie bags for kids Close to the metro for a trip to the city centre Friendly staff Secure parking Good continental breakfast
Everything was ok, in previous reviews people have complained about the parking spaces and some were definitely quite small, however the car park was empty when we arrived. Some have also complained about the area where the hotel was located, we didn't notice any unsavoury characters so it seemed fine to us.
After a long drive from Calais on our way further south the room was clean and the bed for my wife and i was huge and very very comfortable as were the beds in the room for our 2 teenage sons
Quick check in and rooms were excellent, they were comfortable and clean
The bar closing at 10.10pm when it was meant to stay open until 11.00pm
lovely comfortable beds wide range of breakfast foods
setting. lack of places to eat and hotel restaurant closed
Had a secure parking garage.
Difficult to find.
The staff were very good and the hotel was clean. The restaurant was reasonable.
Parking was a pain and there were no spaces available when I arrived - this was an unwelcome surprise
Near the old town so a good base to visit.
The hotel needs definitely refurbishment with the rusty shower we have had and the single bed was not a proper bed
that i found the place (had trouble in that respect in May 2012) an efficient friendly helpful desk, a very comfortable room,spotlessly-clean.had an evening meal there and a breakfast and they were good.Enjoyed my overnight stay.
staff, esp. the young male manager, very good
internet was horrible
Smart hotel very near metro, we walked to the cathedral and Roman theatre from hotel in about half an hour, from there you can walk to the other sights, we caught the metro back. There is an Italian restaurant next to the hotel, hotel restaurant was closed.
Tea and coffee facilities in room was very nice . The hotel was close to the metro which made it easy to get around for site seeing
Would have been nice to have had a mini bar in and safe in room
Good hotel. Would use it again.
Bathroom fully renovated & great Room simple but clean and ok Very quiet
View not good Location ok, but not walking distance to shopping area For a decent sleep ok, but nothing but that
Dvery thing else was good
Wifi is not that good
the breakfast; the room was nice
The car park: small and the price too high; the district isn't good but very close to the main roads. The bathroom has a leakage and during the night was not so good to hear the drops fall down.
Hotel as usual is perfect for a stay in Lyon. Brand new rooms refurbished !!! a success !!!
The hotel is a little bit far away from the city center, but it is near the metro station which is good. There's a computer room in the lobby, and can print documents freely there.
Excellent service by staff. We arrived early but they found rooms. Our room was non smoking but smelt of smoke and reception immediately arranged for another room. Great big beds. Handy two minute walk and one stop on the Metro to the old town scenic area.
Trying to get into carpark. Quite small spaces and cost $10€ overnight.
