Hotel Solara  

Servicen var ypperlig. Trevlig personal, kunde engelska. Läget kunde inte bli bättre. Nära till stranden och nära till gamla stan. Ac fanns.

Väldigt liten hiss. Den ska man inte ta om man har anlag för klaustrofobi.

Hotel Solara is a fantastic hotel for a break in lovely Nice. The location is excellent on Rue dr France. 3 mins walk from the Promenade & 10 mins to the train station. We got the airport bus & asked to get off near Hotel de la Medeteranian. It was just round the corner from there. Rue de france is pedestrianised with lots of lovely restaurants nearby. The staff were so friendly & helpful, gave up tips for our daily travel. Breakfast in the room was gorgeous, lovely cafe au lait, bread rolls, croissants, orange juice & yogurt. I would receommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice

Everything was just fantastic

The Solara is anexcellent budget option in a good central location. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and we had a south facing balcony. An altogether pleasant experience

First is the location. Solara is in the center of everything. Safe and convenient. Second is cleanliness of the room and most specially the toilet and bathroom. I have to thank the very beautiful lady who does it everyday. Plus, Thierri will always assist you in whatever you want to know about Nice, where are the good restaurants, where to get the bus, the location of groceries near the hotel, and he will even lend you an adaptor for your phone charger or other gadgets. If he's not around, Jonathan will be there to assist you.

Central location near the promenade des anglais and the beach, close to almost everything

Walls are thin and at night, during the we, apparently lots of drunken people in the street...so it can be rather noisy

Location, location, location and a terrace. Very friendly staff. Small homely feel. Fantastic location right in the centre of Nice, close to everything including the sea. Very comfortable and clean. Lovely if small terrace overlooking Rue de France.

Buidling a bit shoddy and the lift is tiny and in sore need of renovation. Room, while very clean and comfortable is in need of redecoration.

Everything was perfect during our stay there - comfortable, nice design, clean, friendly staff etc. Location is great - easy to reach all attraction. Will stay here again if visit Nice again.

Absolutle gem of a hotel, right in the centre of Nice. Fantastic views of the hills from your balcony and the bustling streets below (without the noise pollution)! Anything you could possibly want is within a 5 - 10 min walk! The Father and Son team do a fantastic job making you feel welcome, brilliant tour guides and really helpful. The rooms are clean, modern with fridge, tv, table and chairs. Bathrooms are modern and have hair dryers. Will definitely be staying here again. Laura & Dan from Reading - UK

Love this hotel it's family owned! My room was simple but was clean & tidy! There is a little balcony that you can look out onto the street. The room made me feel French! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious for French standard. It's located on a popular street where there are many restaurants, pharmacies, bakery and clothes/shoe shopping. Promenade de anglais is less than a 5min walk. Old town 15min walk. Bus station to go to Cannes or Monaco 10min walk. The train station is a 10-15min walk. Thierry and son were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Price wise this is very affordable and in a fantastic location!! Would definitely stay here again.

Walls are thin. Can hear street traffic at night. If you are a light sleeper then this might not suit you.

I got a fright when I arrived and saw the outside locked door, you have to press a buzzer to get in - the hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor of an apartwent block. When the door opened it was into a very dark hall and then the lift was very scary - it must be the smallest lift in the world - my initial impression was I wish I didnt have to stay here but when showed to the room it was spotless, very basic but really clean and a nice big window with a balcony. I was travelling alone so was a bit nervous and althought the door to my room did have a decent lock it could have been opened by the outside if someone had a key. The door appeared to have had locks changed a number of times and the door itself was quite shabby.

Great location right on the Rue de France and just a short walk from the Promenade des Anglais. Staff very helpful. The craziest, tiniest lift I've ever seen, but at least there is a lift to get you up to the fourth floor! Room perfect for my short stay - basic but with everything you need. Clean, and comfy bed. Those who are sensitive to noise should take ear plugs as it's right on the pedestrianised area which has lots of [excellent] bars and restaurants, but inevitably that means you can hear people chatting below. So take ear plugs if that sort of thing disturbs you. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect and the staff were extremely helpful. It is a fair price for the city of Nice and also has single rooms which is great for a solo traveller.
